You guys are in for a reality check if you think you can get a better coach than Les.

LSU is not the job you think it is. No top coach is going to to leave thier current job to take the LSU one.

Jimbo? Florida State is a better job and you have a easier path to the playoffs. He's not leaving.

Chip Kelly? Spread offense and zero defense is exactly what LSU fans want. You going to tolerate the 3-4 years it would take to get the players he needs?

None of the up and coming coaches are going to be better than Les.

Face it. You're about to break up with the cheerleader to try and go after the prom queen to get turned down and be left with the band geek.

Not to mention Chip Kelly has lost every single college game where the opponent actually has a D line

Disagree. LSU is one of the best jobs in the country. You get one of the best recruiting states in the country all to yourself basically. Plenty of money, fan support, and prestige. Highly underrated coaching job, imo.

A better coach than Les was from 2005-2011? Yeah, that's going to be tough to top. He hasn't been the same guy for the past few seasons. He was a good coach who made a few mistakes from 2005-2011.. I just don't see it now. 10 years is a long time.

Plus -- what jobs are better? USC-w? So we're at worst second best.. and we are in an entirely different geographic area with different recruiting grounds

LSU will arguably be the best job open this year and at worst second best job. deal with it, we pay better than almost anyone, we have great facilities and we have talent already. it is a very simple rebuild.

it isn't underrated, only retards think it isn't one of the best jobs in the country.

it wouldn't matter if we weren't a top 10 job, all that matters is the job openings in the current year. There is only USC and that is it that can be argued to be better than our opening

Byrant had some down years. Relooked things changed some things and came back and won multiple championships. Think he should of been fired?

Our IPF is about to be upgraded, an athletic nutrition center is being built, and football dorms are on the way. I don't see how this isn't a top 5 job right now.

why do bama fans want to compare a retard to their god? Les isn't the bear, he can't cheat like the bear and he wasn't friends with joe pa like the bear.

it is easily top 10, i think it gets blurry inside the top 8 or so. Even then it doesn't matter because we are at worst the second best job that would be open.

The number of jobs open is stupid when they are all pretty much inferior programs

Why fault us for trying to get better?

The reality check is resting on our laurels and staying stagnant.

What happens if the Texas job comes open again and you are now 3rd best job. Any of the top coaches would rather be at USC or Texas.

The two most important points to take away here:

LSU is not the job you think it is.

My feelings about your concern about letting Les go is your concern that we may actually get a better coach. If the job at LSU was so bad, then why did Saban leave MS for a 5 year job at a school that's not the job he thought? If it wasn't his ambition to coach the pros he would have stayed at LSU.
