That is some fun mental gymnastics you are using. I never once mentioned a team in this conversation.

AU is not like the Taliban...you can tell when we run the same play over and over and everyone is not surprised by it. Remember the Iron bowl on Aus last drive when we ran the same play 6 times in a row?

So you are one of those whiny pussys that think we need a break after every play.

I'm pretty sure that the plural of pussy is actually pussies. Here, I'll use it in a sentence to illustrate....I watched the auburn game last weekend and all those pussies ever did was try to snap the ball before the defense was ready.

Are we going to allow the official to "stand over the ball for a short period of time" when a team is behind in the last seconds and is in a hurry to get plays run? If so, why is it okay in the last seconds but not during the remainder of the game? Why do officials run all over the place late in the game trying to get the ball spotted but they don't do that the entire game?

Because at that point, those teams really really want to win, and really really need to snap the ball quickly.

Ok I'm out for the weekend. Just cutting up auburn fans. No harm intended. Y'all have a good one.

Auburn fans are going to argue against anything that ruins their ability to snap a ball faster than anyone can get ready.

It's the only way they're going to beat anyone so I get it. But the guy has a point. If you want consistent gameplay, watch rugby or soccer. Football isn't supposed to be either.

That being said, even with their pansy offensive scheme we beat them so do whatever. It's obvious they're entirely content simply edging out Bama anyways lol

One thing I do not like is officiating crews letting coaches pressure them into hurrying the ball back into play. Setting the ball then running out of the way, chain crews hurrying to set the chains...I have seen crews RUNNING because the coaches and players are yelling and jumping up and down.
Other than that, let them use their gimmick. Defenses will adjust they always do.

This makes sense. I mean frick having more rules but when a team is bitching at the refs to hurry up so they can hurry up in hopes of catching the other team off guard, logic dictates they could easily catch some of the officiating crew off guard as well. People already complain about refs fricking games up, you really think it's wise to risk them not even being ready on certain plays? That's not good for the game at all lol

The Head of Officials should monitor crews to make sure they do not rush the ball into play for HUNH teams, giving them an advantage. Other than that let them run their high school offenses, teams will adjust.
