AU won the title in 10 because of cam, period. I don't think many would deny that.

I would deny that. Haven't read the rest of the thread so don't know if anyone addressed this, but:

The AU '10 offensive line has been drastically underrated by football fans. While the individual parts were not spectacular (not sure if any of them have stuck in the NFL), they were an example of a unit functioning together at a very high rate. Cam no doubt was a transcendent talent. But without that senior led OL, he doesn't win the Heisman.

I'd put the AU '10 offensive line in the top half dozen OLs of the last 10 years in the SEC.

Id say scoring a touchstone without even touching the goal line is more lucky than a real touchdown.

Oh, it happened. Just check the scoreboard. Auburn fans say it didn't happen, and Georgia fans say it did. The refs say it was a TD. 2 against 1. It happened.

If they call that play correctly, it's 1st down for Uga inside the one due to penalty.

If they call the other play correctly, the Miracle bounce catch is nullified due to penalty. Repeat 4th down.

Nothing really gimmicky aboutbhis offense. A wr comes in motion an either takes the handoff or doesn't. If he doesnt its power up the middle or off tackle. Passing game is very boring with the occasional wheel route to the full back or deep post after faking to the we sweep and rb. All the quick sideline passes are just an extension of your running game and the zone read is common play in today's game.
Malzhans offense is feast or famine. If you get a CAm, NickMarshall, Deshaun Watson, type at qb you can have a 9+ win season. If you get a Jeremy Johnson type you see what happens..
Personally I don't love the offense because it requires a special talent at qb where other offense say like bama can get by with a stout oline and game manager behind center.

It's funny to see the uga fans still bristled about a game in 2013 when it didn't matter if they won or lost that game. Is the anxiety because it helped Auburn win another SEC title and get a shot at a National title...things uga aspires to see accomplished?

Ellis Johnson is the reason Bama outscored AU. No other team besides AU put that much offense on Smart/Saban. Every Offense put that much on Ellis Johnson.

Typical Auburn denial...and pure stupidity. You're a fricking Auburn fan, for chrissakes...allegedly...and you can't even remember how your team fared two years ago? It's ok...if I was an Auburn fan, I would want to forget also.

Fact: Kiffin outscored every other OC against Auburn by at least 2 TDs, and no one else came close to racking up 500 yards. So this notion that everyone put up the same numbers against Johnson is bullshite.

But, if you insist on blaming it all on Johnson...if that makes you feel better...fine. Just tell me this: shouldn't such an "offensive genius" recognize an incompetent DC when he sees one? Who was the clown who hired Johnson? Here's a hint...it was the same guy who trotted out JJ to Media Days last year.

Didn't Saban need a Jimbo Fisher QB to win a NC?

Lane Kiffin scoring on Ellis Johnson is a lot easier than Gus Malzahn scoring on Nick Saban and Kirby Smart, right?

Lane Kiffin scoring on anyone is much more likely than anyone scoring on Nick Saban and Kirby Smart. Yes.

What is so "gimmicky" about this offense? It's a power run, single wing spread offense with deep play action passing. I actually think it's beautiful to watch. Is Urban Meyer's offense "gimmicky?" Because you're looking at similar concepts.

Sadly the same can be said about most here. If they don't see a I form, then it's a "gimmicky" offense. Malzahn is one the most innovative offensive minds in College Football, and they don't even know it. Meyer, Rodriguez, Gus, Art Briles, and Chip Kelly are all cut from the same cloth.

Alabama fans claim that Auburn was only capable of scoring on Alabama in 2009 through gimmicks. Auburn scored on a double move and a reverse, which Lane Kiffin calls a lot. And the onside kick? How many times have we seen Alabama do that? They even did it against Clemson.

Johnson was hired because he supposedly knew SEC Offenses. He was the most costly coaching hire in SEC History. AU was poised to win two NCs with AUs Offense in 2013 and 2014, but couldn't field a "Average" Defense. I use the 19% forced punt stat as the biggest example of his incompetency.

DA Bammers want to make Kiffin out as a genius and use the Gus vs Kiffin example. The truth is it is a Gus vs Saban/Smart and a Kiffin vs Johnson/Boom comparison. I think Gus has done pretty well.

They also like to compare Derrick Henry and Leonard Fournette by saying Derrick Henry was much better against LSU's defense than Leonard Fournette was against Alabama's defense, which is completely asinine given Alabama's rush defense was tops in the nation and LSU's wasn't.

Most Bammers only know what happens on Saturday by looking at the stat sheets on Sunday. That way they can brag on Monday.

You don't have to read a stat sheet to know that an alleged offensive genius should know that Ellis fricking Johnson should never have been hired as a DC.
