Yeah I remember this being a big deal, but didn't Clemson's BOT vote on keeping it? I'm sure it would've pissed off a lot of alumni if the governor suddenly mandated the renaming of school buildings. I'm sure many Carolina alumni would feel the same way if a USC grad who was governor wanted to rename a building.
And yeah I agree Ben Tillman was a god awful man.
