Sure it's nothing more than symbolic. Doesn't mean it can't be a start to bridging some of the southern race relations gap. Racial tensions take generations to unwind and come organically.
Mental health is a whole other animal that the flag discussion obviously doesn't make a difference in.

I saw a study yesterday that less than 10% of Americans understand what The First Amendment does.
Those of you mocking me have proven that study true.
Why don't you explain to the class what the First Amendment does.

This was voted on by the SC government with the full support of the Governor. Didn't y'all say just a few weeks ago that this should be left up to the state? Well the state voted, and it's coming down, so what's the problem. How has the constitution been violated?
The only reason the flag was voted down was because the politicians wanted to look good in the eyes of the media. They couldn't even wait until the next scheduled meeting of the legislature because that Clemson bitch Haley wanted to get in on the action by calling a special session
Put it on a legislative referendum and it probably stays right where it should be

Because it's a waste of my time. You have already been ideologically subverted and even if I showed you objective truth that you are having your Natural Rights taken away from you, you wouldn't believe it.

Do explain how a state legislature taking down a flag on state grounds limit freedom of expression for individuals in South Carolina.

frick off.
Those problems are indigenous to the lower class, not any particular race. If you really think black people are predisposed to crime, then wow dude

I mean what other reason do you think it came down for?
Its not like the flag was an issue a month ago when the media wasn't focused on it.
Like I said if it were on a legislative referendum the people of this state would vote to keep it where it is. Only reason its coming down is because the politicians in the legislature are scared to go against the PC media and SJWs which is pathetic

Not sure if serious. However, the bigger problem here is segregation in major cities and media. If we can just work on those two things right there it will go a long way. If you and I live our entire lives on different sides of a town and all we see on TV is what is being shown to us in different parts of time when I see you or you see me your automatically going to think the worst because you've been systematically brainwashed. It is true TV rots your mind.

South Carolina officially secedes from the Confederacy.

This statement right here puts you in a difficult position because on the statehouse grounds isn't where it should be. South Carolina's history of flying the battle flag/naval ensign at their capitol is very similar to Alabama's in that it wasn't done for the first century after the Civil War. It was raised in the early 1960s in the midst of the civil rights turmoil. While I can't speak to what happened in SC, in Alabama it was done as a symbol of direct defiance to that movement.
That type of symbology simply shouldn't be a part of government and I can certainly understand the feelings of people like Carolina Tide (btw, your posts on this subject have been some of the best I've ever read) in that they're proud to see it removed.
Now, if you move beyond that and get into trying to erase history I think you've got a problem. I don't see anything wrong with remembering those that served with honor even if they served a cause that was less than honorable. Don't go trying to destroy monuments*. If you want to do something, add to them by building appropriate recognition for those that served to advance the cause of civil rights in the face of resistance so that future generations can see history's full path.
*The Forrest thing in Memphis is a little different. I was prepared to get outraged about digging him up and moving the statue until I learned they dug him up and moved the statue to the park in the first place. If they're simply returning him to his place of original interment then there's no reason to fuss at all.

Really, I mean really come with me son and I'll take to some places that are whiter than rice and have way more crime and senseless killing going on than the places you are referring to.

Your reading comprehension is poor.
How could the flag stay in a museum when it is currently at a confederate memorial?
Like I said (but I'll state it more plainly for you) if the people of SC voted on whether to move the flag or not it would stay at the memorial
