So the battle flag is coming down, what are y'all gonna do when the stars and bars goes up?
I doubt anything else goes up except maybe the SC or US flag, and even then it might take a while for one of them to go up.

No. Never been. I just think taking down a flag that's part of the south and states history is retarded because it's thought to be an offensive racist flag, which it technically isn't.
You have proof of that, because there are about 38 million black people who can tell you why it is.....

I guess you'd be alright with Germany flying this flag then:

frick that.
Under no circumstances should the US flag be flown over a memorial built to remember people who were killed by it.

Come on CNB, that flag don't represent anything. Bet you won't see it flying anywhere in Europe though. Hell let someone put an ISIS flag on a pole, bet all kinds of hell would break loose. But what about "it's just a flag, 1st amendment".

Sure it is. Read up on the history on how it came to fly at state houses around the South.
Amazing all these southerners don't know the history behind that when POLITICIANS from back then admit to why they put the flag up. Sheesh.
But hey it's used to represent anniversary of civil war. Or was it used for State's Rights to keep segregation alive, to keep people from protesting, etc. Why where police officers wearing confederate flag decals, snatching american flags out of hands of black kids, while letting whites waive confederate flag....damn I love those old videos.

The only people that think the confederate battle flag and swastika are comparable are skinheads and morons.
They are very different and not comparable at all. They are polar opposites in a lot of ways.
But you just keep eating up that tasty propaganda

You're right: one symbol is rooted in religion while the other was specifically created to champion white supremacy.

Nah it was designed to fly over a naval ship that fought for state's rights.

"you're"
And the fact that you deny that the flag's creator intended it to be the "white man's flag" displays your ignorance.

The South wasn't fighting to protect slavery because they were racist. They fought for it because their economic system was based on slavery.
The North didn't enter the war with the intention of ending slavery, they just wanted to keep the southern states and enforce the Morrill Tariff.
Everyone one, including Lincoln thought black people were inferior to white people in 1860. The emancipation proclamation didn't occur until halfway through the war in 1863 because Lincoln needed to rally the troops that were struggling against the South.
The flag was the symbol used by General Lee's Army of Northern Virginia. It was adopted following the war to honor all of the fallen confederate veterans.
A legit criticism of the flag is that it was used in the 60s by segregationists, which is when the 3rd iteration of the KKK originated and started using it. But most people, including yourself are too ignorant to understand where the flag lost its original meaning and result to pathetic arguments of traitors, lost war and slavery.

Well that makes it all ok and takes all issues of racism out of the equation.

Correction according to your above statement. Everyone in the north thought they were inferior. Those in the south weren't racist and thought black people were equal in every way, it was just economics.

The 1790 federal census, however, listed no slaves. Massachusetts was a center for the abolition movement in the 19th century.
they had free blacks, like louisiana, but all they did was call slaves indentured servants.
