Every year rankings have gone up.
Yet this year it's still only ranked 8th.
So I'm assuming your grades on recruiting are around C, as I said. Unless we are dismissing two full classes because..you know...really tough to recruit at UF.

Yeah because the cycle is over in Oct??

Ppl brag about rankings but they dont mean shite if youre not filling holes.
Champ brought in rankings while neglecting the offense.

Top 5 classes with losses to much lesser talent.
Kind of like Georgia last year.

Similar to Richt. Is 8-10 really good enough in recruiting when you are dead center of the richest talent area in the country. Especially since the proximity of Georgia, Bama, FSU, Clemson, Auburn, Miami, etc. means that an "8th ranked" class lost out head to head on elite prospects to the teams you compete with.
For the record, I actually think Mac is a hell of a gameday coach (at least over his first two years), but the parallels with Richt are crazy. Would need all the stars to align to do more than contend for the division.

Yep. And the big boys haven't loaded up yet. I would be willing to put a month bet our ranking goes down, not up.

And yet Mac is bringing in less talent and neglecting the defense while losing to teams that are halfway decent. WM isn't the standard here. I will say that he will have more recruits drafted than recruits Mac has brought in.

How's UGAs recruiting working out so far? Funny how the more elite talent you get the easier it is to win.

Mac isn't filling holes or bringing in elite talent compared to his predecessors.

Would love to see their team if Chubb, Michel, Godwin, and Swift went down.

Serious question: do you think that the mass discipline issue is at all a product of lack of organizational control and therefore falls on the head coach?
To a lesser degree, injuries are random to an extent, but strength and conditioning is a big part of a college football organization and the elite teams tend to have fewer injuries annually.
Just curious where you guys stand as far as Macs responsibility for those issues. Fans were split on that type of stuff with Richt, and lots of people have been pleased/surprised by the improvement in year two.

They would be ok because Kirby is killing it. Look at USC. MULTIPLE STARTERS OUT 20 TOTAL PLAYERS AND THEY'RE 6-1 WITH A TOP 50 OFFENSE. UGA LOST THEIR #1 QB AND HAVEN'T MISSED A BEAT WITH FROMM. THEY HAVE ALMOST THE EXACT SAME ROSTER AS LAST YEAR. WHATS HAPPENING STRAWS? HOW HAS UGA BEEN SO MUCH BETTER THIS YEAR? IT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CAN RECRUIT AND FIX YOUR MISTAKES.

I can tell you now Mac gets a pass from them. He's the victim in all of this.

His Senior 5* Running Backs that he inherited are killing it.
His 5* Receiver is killing it.
His 5* Quarterback is killing it.
His All-SEC Tight End is killing it.
You would struggle to fail with all of that talent littering the field. Like I said: Talk to me when Chubb, Michel, Godwin and Swift go down and see how well their offense runs.

Look at USC.
They lost to Washington State, dude. Who lost like 37 - 3 to Cal. Al

Only one of the players out for the season is on offense, and it's a Guard. Not a skill-position player.
Their defense is like in the 50s, which I guess is okay for a PAC team?

Upperclassmen?

Both Outside Receivers: Richt.
3/5 for the offensive line: Richt.
TE: Richt.
Chubb, Michel: Richt.
FB: Richt.
That means, on offense, if the FB is playing: 8 players are from Richt.
NT: Richt.
DE: Richt.
SAM: Richt.
JACK: Richt.
MIKE: Richt.
WILL: Richt.
Left Corner: Richt.
Left Safety: Richt.
Right Corner: Richt.
So, if they run their base defense, 9 of those starters are from Richt.
quote:
IT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CAN RECRUIT AND FIX YOUR MISTAKES.
Of their starters, out of 22 players, 17 of those players are from Richt.
Makes sleddin' easy when the guy before you recruited his arse off and managed your roster.

You're an idiot Mark didn't recruit at Kirbys level. Holyfield, Swift and herrian look good. You're proving my point. Mac hasn't recruited well enough to overcome his poor coaching. USC is 6-1 with the #19 total offense and #36 scoring. Transitive property doesn't work but let's use it . And yet Mac lost to teams that have Lost to Troy, UCLA, Miss ST. We have 4 passing touchdowns all year. Troy LOST TO SOUTH ALABAMA
You're a fricking idiot. MULTIPLE USC starters have missed games.

Without their starting WR RB:

I'm counting multiple starters out at OL, TE, RB, WR and defense straws. On top of that Darnold has struggled. Explain how they're 6-1 straws!
They are down at least 10 guys on defense and yet they are #59.

Lulz not with Mac at the helm. We're just happy to be here. Pretty kewl and yet we've gotta fix some pieces and get some guys that will play their tails off.
