If Saban is the reason Kirby recruits well, wouldn't the recruits just go to Saban? Why would "I worked for Saban" work for Smart, yet not Mac? Mac can even say he helped start the dynasty.

It just seems like an invalid reason to discredit Smart. Guy is killing it in recruiting. It's not fun to watch, but it's reality. Mac struggling is on Mac. We can't claim others have some lucky break in recruiting. I would bet most coaches call Florida a top ten job. Shouldn't have issues recruiting four and five stars at a top ten job, where you are literally surrounded by talent. Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Miami. Sure there is competition, but no school is more centralized around so many marquee recruiting areas besides Texas and USC.

Lmao really??

Any of those ppl would trade their HC in a second for a header who wins back to back div titles.
2 weeks ago every west team fanbase other than Bama wanted their HC fired.
LSU fans dont like O
A&M fans want Sumlin out
OM is looking
Auburn fans hat the Gusbus
Arky wants bigboy gone
Mullen is safe thus far
East
UGA fans are still in honeymoon phase
UT is looking
KY is on the fence
Mizz lolololol

So, yeah. Ask the fanbase of everyone else who hates their own HC what they think about one of the HCs who has one of the best W/L records in the SEC since he arrived

I did. See the post on page six or go read it on the Rant.

So...probably would have read it before trying to make that point, because you didn't win this one. Chalk yet another to the ones who see the writing on the wall.

So your argument is everyone thinks MAc should be let go, so he should stay?

Man. You homers are on a role.

This is just as great as the Muschamp defenders. It's very clear, but reality just won't set in till the last possible moment. Didn't you finally come aboard the Mac isn't getting it done train? Did you jump back on the straws side? It's hard to completely convert. Took me to the LSU game. Was skeptical after Michigan, but the clear signs are he isn't good enough.

Let's put it this way. Rank Mac at the areas of being a head coach at UF.

Recruiting - C this class is finally up to par, has had some nice gems, but not to the level UF has had for 20 years.

Development - B- - Some areas seem to stay the same, some have improved on offense. Defense regression in LB, DE stays consistently good, CB development on par but safeties not at all

Game planning - C - Has one game where he legit out coached a top tier team. He has lost the coaching battle vs good coaches 90 percent of the time.

Game management - C- - See the last two first halves this week. Inability to adjust when game plan isn't working. Inability to get the offense flowing by getting play calls in. This is simply crazy we still have these issues. Getting play calls in is something middle school teams do more efficiently than UF.

Facilities - A - Best thing he has done is draw needed attention to this.

Hiring - D - HIs last few hires take this from an F to a D. Him keeping Nord and Nuss is absolutely ridiculous.

Special teams - D - Has a good punter and kicker. We give up more Punt return yards than any team in the nation, by a large margin

Turnovers - B - Defense hasn't recovered a single fumble. Not one. But offense doesn't turn it over much either so it's a decent job of ball security for us.

Off the field - C - He controls off the field issues. Huge credit card scandals, constant issues with players like Callaway, the Grier situation. While it's not fair to blame the head coach for kids being dumb, he is responsible for their actions just as Meyer was.

This is the problem. He doesn't grade out well at ANYTHING but facilities. Now obviously you may disagree with some of the grades, but could you fairly say he is elite at anything but facilities?

Yep. Unbiased input. See we all have a dog in this fight. We want UF to be a championship program. Some just few it not happening under Mac, some think he deserves more time. So neither side will waiver and will use stats to bring up their argument to verify it.

Just like asking a democrat who is better at anything. Obama or Trump. Trump won't get much credit.

So you ask an independant third party to see what the unbiased view of the situation is.

But if you want to just ask Gator fans. Gatorbait.net

Seems overwhelmingly that Mac gone is the answer from our own fan base. So that only hurts your argument further.

See.

You won't grade him. Because you know that if you did a fair assessment, you would come away with the only logical conclusion. He isn't good enough.

Nice try to deflect. Not happening. Grade him. Or you just prove you have no argument.

Seriously. Every fan boy do this.

Grade Mac as I did.

Then look at your grades. Is that good enough to be the coach at the University you love?

If not..you have your answer.

The problem with negative fans is that a lot of y'all (i don't know what your position is so I'm not gonna put words in your mouth) wanted Mac gone since the day he took the job.

You bitched year one. You bitched year two. And you're bitching now. You haven't stopped bitching since he took the job. I'm rooting my arse off for him. I hope he gets the job done and we win championships with him. Can you honestly say the same?

Yes. I was on his side for two years. He lost me this year. I want UF to win. I want titles. I just don't see him doing it, so I want someone who will. Being positive when seeing so many issues doesn't do anything. Noise in the system isactually quite effective, and all we can do to bring change as fans.

Scared to do it.

Thought so. Keep deflecting. Only proving my case.

Third year. Its fair to judge. Should watch cfb. Year three is when most have shown their cards. Only Jimbo and Dabo took longer to win a title since Bobby in 99. So save your excuses and grade him..or you have no argument.

Its not fair to judge at this point. Hes missing his biggest playmakers on the offense.

Thats like saying we ll watch the Packers this week and judge their offense while theyre missing AR

Plus the offense was beyond deglected when he arrived so its not like he followed a Hc who brought in any talent on that side of the ball.

6 OL. You know how pathetic that is?? They couldnt even practice due to low numbers. We had a friggan ivy league player at OT for cryin out loud

Cry and bitch all you want. Hes here at least another yr. you fire a HC with his winning %, good luck getting a top prospect in here.

See LSU

It is fair to judge. His playcalling, management, recruiting, all are fair to see.

Use incomplete if you want on some. But year three you can tell the trajectory of a program.

That...depends on a shite ton of factors. You can't really tell much this year because McElwain is missing literally every top skill player on offense.

The defense looked very good against a capable offense.

The offense looked like what any offense would look like missing its top five playmakers, top four for almost every tough game.

His next offensive class is the best we've had in years and years, and if he can get 371 yards missing his top five playmakers, I think he ought to get one more year to see what happens when the roster isn't decimated by missing players.

At least he's keeping it close with good teams and not with FCS teams in his third year.

Playcalling is fine to me, open backup wrs running open, QB has to hit them. So you can fault execution but its a RS QB learning on the fly without the guys hes been working with the most
