It seems like even the guys who are blaming the players , still don't believe in him either but they want to defend him. Does anyone think he will actually fix the issues and win us SEC and national championships? I have checked other boards and it seems 90% the fans are done with him . We should have learned from Muschamp that keeping a coach an extra year will really bring down a program. With all of the jobs that will be open this offseason there may not be many options after next year.

Why people feel like Mac should keep his job but they think he needs a good OC. He is a offensive coach who can't recruit and if he needs a top OC then he is no help to the offense.

He wants to be a CEO head coach. The only way you can do that is with a top notch staff. He doesn't have one right now. If he makes some new hires, things could turn around.

I doubt he is the guy for the job though, and because I have that doubt, if I was his boss, I may just pull the plug rather than wait longer.

Wanted him gone this year. 2 years of shite show was enough for me. Even though we were barely winning against an awful SECe. I look at overall improvement and this program is worst today than when he got the keys imo.

Why the repeated bash Mac threads? Some folks have an agenda and keep at it. He will be our HC in 2018, so the only thing some of you are trying to do is hurt recruiting.

After 2018 then we can talk. He HAS to show a lot of improvement on offense next year...if not then he will be gone if we finish with a subpar season. I think Del Rio will be starter as a senior unless Franks gets MUCH better.

A keyboard jockey isn't going to get Mac fired this year, forget about it.

The only things hurting recruiting is his shitty coaching and his dumb arse Gomer Pyle persona. The players come to Florida in spite of Butters.

So are you saying that you believe in him? I would ask you for your expectations with him next years but your a sunshine pumper . You think we go 11-1 every year and then start talking about the next year half way into the season when you realize we still suck .

I want to see if anyone actually believes in Mac. Do you believe that Zmac should be our head coach next year? Should we hire a new OC ? If so why should we keep Mac with the idea that we need a great OC to improve the offense ? Does he bring anything to this team ?

And a keyboard jockey will not hurt a recruiting class.

We got more yards than Alabama did against A&M.

Without a quarterback.

Without #1, 2, 3 receivers.

Without our #1 running back.

I mean, shoot. We played a good game outside of quarterback, and this is Franks' first year without any of the playmakers around him.

Not sure what else they can do to get receivers wide the frick open all over the field with Franks' missing them.

It's year three and we are making excuses.

Again.

People made these same excuses for Muschamp in year 3 because of the injuries.

We now have over 27 games of evidence on this staff since Grier left. They are 16-11. In those games they have repeatedly shown poor clock management, an inability to develop a QB of any kind, poor in game situational management, a propensity to forget about their playmakers and not give them the ball, and a team that plays with no sense of urgency.

How many more games do you think you need to see before you admit what is right in front of you?

Yes, I admit, this staff flashes potential at times. But 3 seasons in, at a major athletic program like UF, flashes is not enough. There have to be more than just flashes. There needs to be consistency, and the only consistency we see so far after 27 games is poor QB play, poor QB development, an inability to get the ball to their playmakers, poor in game management, and a team with a lack of urgency.

What is sad, is that maybe you are right. Maybe things would be better if the suspensions had not hit, and the injury bug had been kinder. Maybe. But the suspensions did happen. And the injuries did happen. And the staff did not respond. Dre Massey is obviously a play maker if you give him the ball. He was maybe the best playmaker on the team who wasn't injured at WR this weekend. But inexplicably, he only touches the ball twice. Why?

Questions like these have HAUNTED this offensive staff since they arrived.

And now matter who is healthy, they will continue to haunt this staff because it just isn't very good on offense.

I'm still supporting him, but progress must be made or next year he will be on a very hot seat!

I'm normally the glass half full guy when it comes to coaches.

Not this time.

Mac needs to go. He still hasn't run Clarabell the dog out there to run the offense. He was supposedly so good that he could do that.

Well, where's the damn dog?

I'm done with him. It's time to move on. 6-7 years of terrible offense and now a weakening defense.

3 years of Muschamp's offense and now our offense is worse?

C'mon man. It's time.

The problem is, we can't be that school that runs off coaches every 3 years. If we do, we will not get any top tier coach to come to UF.
We need to support the program and the current coach thru a 4th year, do it right and if we don't see improvement make a change, and then we can show potential coaches that we will give you enough time before making a change.
We are already known as a fair weather, whiny fan base, the athletic department needs to rise above this and do it right for the long term good of the program.

I'll think he'll get the chance to change coordinators and it around next year. Not much doubt in my mind. turn

But it is a risk either way. We gave Muschamp one year too many and it hurt the program financially and caused problems in recruiting. It's a very bad time for donations and fundraising to slow and ticket sales to drop.
