What has Mac done to earn another year other then win with Muschamp defense?

This is dumb, ppl keep saying Mac won with Champs defense. Hell Champ didnt win with his defense. They played well enough to get him fired yet helped Mac win the East twice in a row. That makes Mac look better imo

WM made it to the Sugar Bowl. Mac absolutely did win with WM defense. Otherwise we lose FAU, ECU, VU twice, etc. IF it wasn't for WM leaving an elite defense and the SEC east sucking Mac doesn't win more than 7 games each year.

Your opinion.
But the fact remains.
The same team that played bad enough to get Champ fired, Mac took to ATL

He lost his arse in the Sugar Bowl and had his precious defense crushed.

Muschamp with his top ten defense gave up 429 yards to Georgia Southern, man.

Without completing a pass, dude.

I prefer losing by three to two legit teams than losing by six to an FCS, baw.

His defense wasn't made up of his starters you clown. He was playing walkons and freshman. So the defense wasn't top 10. NO you just prefer losing

Would you prefer to say Mac won his first 2 years on the back off Collins defense? Defense won those games and now that we don't have Muschamps recruits and Collins the team sucks .

So a offensive head coach earned a 4th year by winning the crap east with a great defense and horrible offense ? Is there anything he has done for his side of the ball ?

Ok so your saying he has improved the talent on offense? I would agree the offense looks to have More talent but it still is not improving . We have average or better offensive talent in the SEC but it sure as hell doesn't look like it .

Neither is McElwain's? Our top safety out, our other safety out, Zuñiga was out.

Oh, underclassmen are an excuse?

Safety: Chauncey Gardner (Sophomore)
Safety: Brad Stewart (Freshman)
Cornerback: Henderson/Wilson (Freshman)
Nickel: Henderson/Wilson (Freshman)
LB: Reese (Sophomore)
LB: Joseph (Sophomore)
LB: Moon (Freshman) His backup: Garcia (Walkon)

But that's just on defense, dear TJ!

Quarterback: Freshman
RB: Freshman
RB: Sophomore
WR: Sophomore
WR: Sophomore
WR: Freshman (Injured, Powell replaced him)

There are more on the line, but I think you get the gist of what I'm saying which is...

How the frick is it more acceptable to lose to an FCS team because of youth than it is to lose to a team like Texas A&M who hung with Alabama, or LSU who just beat a top 10 team?

Those excuses are valid for Muschamp but not McElwain? frick off, TJ, you're drunk.

Losing a QB is ok for other teams but not UF.
Playing underclassmen is an excuse for Champ but not Mac.
Games we won couldve been lost but not viceversa even though it was 2 games by 3 points total

Love the TJ logic

He was all over Harbaugh and Jimbo the off-season. ''How are we going to compete with them?''

A seventh year HC loses his quarterback and he may not bowl. TJ: ''WELL I MEAN HE LOST HIS QUARTERBACK, WHAT CAN HE DO!?!?!??!''

Florida loses every skill position player they had against A&M. TJ: ''TURRIBLE, ABSOLUTELY TURRIBLE. NO EXCUSES.''

The coaching staff can't seem to get a good QB to run their offense. Toney and Cleveland were healthy till the last 2-3 games . Callaway been in so much trouble that he should be kick off the team . The guy has talent but he is trouble.

He has improved the talent that much and yet the offense still sucks ? Wouldn't that mean he has done a horrible job of recruiting QBs and/or his play calling is pathetic?

So Del Rio and appleby were Not his guys ? It took him 3 years to get his QB and his offense still sucks ?

So do you actually believe in Mac or just like the idea of us losing and him destroying our program?

No, I just believe in giving a coach the right amount of time to be successful before firing him. 4 years is about right with the shape the program was in when he arrived. I'll make my call on McElwain at that time. Until then talking about coaching changes is a waste of time because it ain't happening, like it or not!
