re: Check Engine Light On... sometimes

The chain has probably stretched. I've worked in a GM shop for years and this is common on the 3.6 engine. The thing could possibly run another 100K. Not to pile on, but that is only one of the few expensive issues these trucks have. Look for leaking steering gear, locked front struts and leaking rear evap core( if equipped with rear air). All three of these issues cost over a grand to repair. Never mind the ignition coils and purge solenoids both being shite. If it were mine, I'd entertain the idea of trading. Just a heads up.

We have been selling nitrogen at our shop for about six years. I have yet to put it in my tires. I know nitrogen doesn't build pressure like air, but it will bleed out in cool weather and high humidity just like air. IMO, it is not a sound investment. And, air is free.

The fellow who answered the phone did have a "slight" accent.
Looks like they are doing something right with that many locations.

17's and take that ugly arse air dam off the front end.
I really like the new Colorados but think GM screwed the pooch on that air dam.

Just call ahead to the Rib Cage in Oxford.
Tupelo sucks donkey balls for BBQ.

Toby Reeves is his name. I've known him for 30 years. He is from Tupelo. He has caught much shite from that. I told him it looked like he was wearing a damned snuggie. Funny thing is, as out of it as he was, they still managed to make it to Tunica last night. Got back to Tupelo at six this morning. Dude can go hard!

Brisket hash at 24Diner is great!
Homeslice pizza was good.
The Blind Pig on 6th was the spot for the Ole Miss game last year. Thought we would cave the roof in when Feed Moncreif came on.
Polvos is good in SOCO. Hell, lots of good food in SOCO.
Make a stop at Waterloo Records. Around the corner from there is the 9th street trail.(BMX dirt jumping and shite) Really cool watching those guys.
And, what I thought was a good burger, Huts. It's up on West 6th. West 6th is much cleaner than the east end.
Loved Austin. And I would venture a guess and say the ratio of yoga pants is higher than anywhere else I have been. It is truly a beautiful thing.

re: Memphis ... where to stay?
Posted by biscuit37 on 4/8/14 at 6:47 am
Talbot Heirs Guesthouse.
It's on Second street above the Flying Fish, right across from the Peabody. The rooms are more like an ecconomy apartment. Has the full kitchen and all.
My daughter and I stayed there last Thursday night and were very pleased.
One block from Beale and very cool owners.
