Wasn’t Dave Wilson a #1?

How many times did paul skenes throw 135 pitches? he usually wasn’t getting hit when he was pulled.
Yeah, he never threw 135 pitches in a game, he managed to finish his game against Tulane only throwing 124.

there is a reason you don’t see guys throw 135 pitches a lot.
Yes there is, it’s usually because by that time they are ineffective, not retiring the last 12 batters in a row.
ETA- Nolan Ryan is laughing his arse off reading this thread and remembering a 235 pitch game he threw early in his career. Didn’t seem to affect him too much.

Anybody have any news on Tre Morgan? Guess he will start at Tampa’s A ball team?

My father was a radio operator on a B17 based out of Sudbury England. He was there from late 1944 thru VE Day. 25 missions flown. Wish I could go back and ask him more about his service. I did get a few stories out of him but he never brought it up himself. He would have turned 100 this past week.

If it’s just about the money then can’t he just take out a multimillion dollar injury insurance policy? Not sure if that is possible or even cost effective but it would solve the worry over losing millions.

I think the biggest change is not having to deal with SEC umps.

I think the 2 you are missing are Dan Rowen and Dick Martin.

Jack and Jill went up the hill
They each had a quarter
Jill came down with 50 cents
You think they went up there for water?

My bigger question is why hasn’t Carmichael gotten a head gig yet? Would he consider getting out from under Payton to show what he could do? If so, would he consider a major college job?

He got the job at TSBR via his landlady who referred him to the manager of said TSBR. Why has there never been any shred of evidence of either being involved? Both would have to be CIA assets, right?
Don’t look at who hired him to work there, look at who decided the route the motorcade would take.

"He's every bit as good as Jacob Hester was at Evangel." What made you think of Hester?
The fact that for some unknown reason despite his size, speed and stats he is not highly rated by the stargazers or others in the college football world.

Seems like a pretty fair comparison. Johnson actually made a few nice catches out of the backfield against Acadiana.

Part of an interview during their dome walk through this morning.
quote:
While Tierney has all those stars, the brightest of stars has been Johnson. “I’m kind of amazed,” Tierney said. “He’s probably the most under-recruited player ever that I’ve had. When I say ever, I mean that I’ve ever coached. He’s a 4.5 guy at 215 pounds averaging eight yards a carry. I just don’t know what the college coaches are not seeing.”

So if she had a BMI of 32 they would’ve included “in fairness, she was fat”?
