Natural sugars are fine. Added sugars not so much.

The key is moderation, proper sleep, adequate exercise, and minimal mental stress

re: Partial Knee Replacement

What’s your current exercise program look like?

I have had many patients with partial knee before and the more active and better into resistance training they are the better outcomes I have observed.

If you aren’t very active now I would recommend either getting in a good PT clinic near you or start some sort of general exercise program that does not flare up your symptoms beyond a 20% increase in session and 24 hours post session

re: Water heater - Tank vs Tankless?

Posted by h0ll@yaboy on 12/18/24 at 7:23 pm
We went tankless when replacing our old water heater earlier this year. The old tank had a great life from 1976-2024.

After the new tank was installed the water took F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get hot in my kitchen, which is the furthest from the water heater. Called my plumber and he suggested getting a higher gpm flow rate faucet and the problem was solved. Went from about 5 minutes of waiting to 30-45 seconds for it to get hot now.
A other option is to look into somewhere with ShockWave therapy. It’s uncomfortable when you get the treatment but the results have helped reduce chronic pain in most people I’ve used it on
Go see Steve, Kristen, or Clint at Delta PT

re: Knee Replacement Surgery

It is very person dependent on recovery time.

How is your strength and ROM now, before surgery? Are you currently in the gym?

While you may not set any new squat or deadlift PRs due to the knee replacement, there is plenty you can do for upper body and conditioning work.

I would suggest doing a month or so of “prehab” sessions with a PT in conjunction to your gym routine. You aren’t going g to drastically improve during this time but you will allow your brain and body to learn what the movements and interventions are supposed to feel like.

If your PT clinic doesn’t have some actual gym equipment, search for one that does.

Chris Bankhead with Ochsner does great work
Umm maybe a newer apple watch if you were already pleased with the past one
Not saying it doesn’t have a causation to the kidney stones but I would not give the blame to creatine.

While you drink plenty of water throughout the day, your hydration depends on more than just water intake. You sweat out other nutrients along with the water. Not saying you need a sugary electrolyte Gatorade, but you may need some electrolyte, and vitamin supplementation.

It’s about as effective as a condom with a hole in it

re: Home Water Pressure Booster Pump

Is it the pressure or your flow rate?

We had similar problems with one faucet in our house and I replaced it with a higher gpm, problem solved
That’s not outrageous, that’s the I don’t want this job, but if the goober will pay, I’ll do it quote.

As others have said get the tile and do it yourself, or get the tile and then at a handyman off Nextdoor or wherever you like to do it for you.
They should’ve wrapped it around the whole north end of the stadium

re: Wet spot on ceiling help

Had something similar and it was from the insulation around my duct work. There was a very small cut in the insulation and it lead to a drip which cause a water spot. Used some actual duct tape and the problem has been fixed for over 3 years.

Check the small stuff

re: Supplements for your kids

Start by meeting the guidelines for exercise and go from there.

Build a strong base of actual food intake that includes naturally occurring vitamins and minerals

Lay off the stops and pills

Encourage fun and active play/ exercise

Exercise with your kids
Too much from the shakes. They are meant to be a supplement, not your main source. Add in more protein from meats, fish, poultry and use the shake as an after workout, curb your appetite snack
I replaced close to 100’ of my sewer line digging by hand after work for a couple days and saved $6500. Was quoted at $6700-6800 and spent $200 on new pipe and supplies
