I've got to be honest, I'm not sure why everyone isn't kicking it to the 15-20 knowing that your kickoff team can get there well before they can get the ball and get a good run going.

re: At what point will UF's hex over UGA be "officially" over?

If this doesn't put your mind at ease, not sure what will. It is over, and it is just about right on time.

I think the hex is officially over, but it will be a few years before I stop getting nervous every time we play down there. It will also be a few years before UF stops being chippy all game and accepts their beatings like they should.
Both of those will end when we lay a 40 pt game on them and just dominate. Almost what we did this year if it weren't for the lateral.

Three things I really liked about the game.

First, no special teams gaffs! Seriously, punts and FGs all as planned. No run backs for a score.
Second, no fumbles. We did have a lateral dropped, which I guess counts as a fumble, but 22 was trusted with the ball in the 4th and held on tight. Murray gets blindsided in the end zone and it costs us 2 not 6.
Lastly, no bonehead passes by 11. This was his best statistical game against the Gators, with the exception of the 2nd half when UF got some serious momentum going. That last drive was prototypical Murray and is why championships or not he's a DGD.

I thought Bobo did okay given the injuries, but I have no idea what he was thinking in the series before the blocked punt. The rest, I can live with.
Our D better stiffen up an fast or we don't win next weekend.

Has any team played two different teams twice in the same season?
Posted by DawgInHisPrime on 9/30/13 at 7:19 am
There are plenty of cases where a team plays the same team twice, usually a championship game and then during the regular season. Has there also be a case where they also played an OOC opponent in the bowl game? In theory, if we win the East, LSU wins the West and we play Clempson again in our bowl game, then we'll have done it. Just wondering if it's happened before.
