I'd have taken Zach Thomas the first 6-7 years he was in the league.
Nice troll, I'll bite. Ray was one of, if not the best, defensive players in the league during his first 6-7 years. That is the time when his athleticism at the position was unmatched and he was quickly becoming one of the league's smartest defensive players.
Zach Thomas
Ray Lewis
I live in Baltimore and have had season tickets to the Ravens for 10 years. I absolutely understand why many people dislike Ray, there are plenty of reasons. But, you have to be completely asinine to not think he is one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history.

Orioles fan, but there is no argument that could be made for taking Hamilton over Cano. Cano's production for a second basemen is unmatched.

I definitely know what you guys are saying. From what I remember, it seemed like he was always hurt or hobbling down the court. But he was very productive up until the last two years of his career.

This is true for almost everyone. With the exception of maybe Barry Sanders

I could not be happier with the addition of Texas A&M, except that y'all beat us. But, you guys are a great fit in the SEC and I look forward to many more great games in the future.

I am giving them a win in the Clemson game, but on second thought could see their young defense struggle.

2013 Offensive Line

Barrett Jones and Chance Warmack are graduating, and DJ Fluker is most likely headed to the NFL. What are your predictions for the starting offensive line to open the 2013 season against Virginia Tech?

I am sure they taught it, although I never had a Hisory of Maryland course. I went to Catholic school so I can't say if the public schools offered one. I consider myself somewhat of a history buff as well, although my area of interest is the 20th century, especially WW2 and the Cold War. I guess you just showed I need some brushing up on my colonial American history.
I guess I should say that I understand why many people in Baltimore are ND fans. The state doesn't offer a competitive college team and there are many Catholics here. I was just always turned off by the expectation that I should be a Notre Dame fan just because I am Catholic.

I have lived in Baltimore my entire life, besides my years at UA, and I never knew that.

I did not grow up in the South and was not an Alabama fan until I attended school there. Notre Dame was the first team in sports that I ever hated. Hearing about how great they are at every family gathering really gets old, especially because my family has no affiliation to ND other than being Catholic.
Over the past few weeks, it seems like every other person I see in Baltimore is wearing Notre Dame gear.

Raised Catholic. Mom's side of the family loves the Irish. My Dad and I hate them. I know plenty of Catholics who are turned off due to the expectation that if you are Catholic you should be a ND fan.

I'm looking forward to a good game. I think it is close through three quarters and Bama pulls away in the 4th to win by two scores.

re: Barkevious Mingo is the most overated D lineman in college football
Posted by NattyBoh on 11/5/12 at 3:31 pm
I still think that Mingo is a beast and am sure he will be a first round pick. I think his lack of production this year, compared to last, can partially be attributed to fact that the LSU defense, particularly the secondary, is not as strong as it was last year.
