well it's not like its a precious commodity. I mean who really conserves toilet paper, or cares about its waste for that matter?
The nation of Venezuela would have taken issue with that a few months ago...

I was hoping for his Trooper impression on the sideline. Where will we turn for towel waving now?

That LT is huge. Guess their run game may favor that side.
Run game? Their rushing stats from last year were, um, less than impressive:
252 attempts, 349 yds, 1.38 avg, 6 TD (from LINK )

Herb Hand would be a good hire. He worked with Malzahn at Tulsa, and is very familiar with his offense. He also worked with Rich Rodriguez and Rick Trickett at WVU. Burnt Orange Nation had a nice write-up on him when Texas was looking his way about a year ago or so.
If that doesn't do anything for you, he can also do the worm (about :24 into the video).

@WarBlogle
Yox has been let go with other assistants. Since that is a head coach hire, he will not interview after coordinators are hired. #auburn
Has this been reported from anyone other than WarBlogle?

Rules out Shawn Watson (relief).
Doesn't rule out numerous other underwhelming options ( :banghead: :banghead:)

The scheduled flight to Boise is no longer listed on FlightAware.
Same plane is still listed on scheduled arrivals in Boise.

This. His act is old.
He should have RT'ed instead of passing it off as his information.

So it's scheduled to fly from Fort Worth to Montgomery then DFW to Boise.... how is that gonna work?
My guess is there has been a change in plans...or we have discovered a way to defy the laws of physics.

Plane has now filed a flight plan from DFW to Boise, ID...

I did. The best thing about coaching searches is flight tracking...at least until you see that the plane you are tracking goes to Ames, Iowa (see 2008 :banghead: )

The airplane in question has filed a flight plan from DFW back to Montgomery, departing at 11:35 am.

I recall them interviewing/talking with Jim Grobe of Wake Forest as well.
Even though he had just gone 11-3, 9-4, and 8-5, I was still  about him.

Didn't even read the whole thing but I noticed his buyout from TCU would be 28 million dollars
I believe the 28 million number is the total value of his contract over 8 years, not the buyout. I think the writer meant that another school would have to come up with a comparable deal to get him to leave, but he did a poor job conveying that. I'm sure there is an out clause that isn't the full value of his contract (but perhaps still substantial).
re: Rank your top 5 HC Candidates
Posted by UniversalRemonster on 11/26/12 at 11:04 pm
1. Chris Petersen
2. Gary Patterson
3. James Franklin
4. Jimbo Fisher
5. Bobby Petrino
James Franklin is intriguing. He is energetic and his team generally seems well coached and prepared (aside from the AU game this year). 8 wins at Vandy is a huge accomplishment.

I think Petrino is a brilliant offensive coach - possibly the best in college football. Him and someone who could handle defense would be a great combo from a pure coaching perspective.
I think you have to consider morality when it comes to recruiting. How will it play with parents and grandparents of the 17 and 18 year olds? You have to sell them on the program and the coach in addition to getting the kid to buy in. Would he be able to overcome that? Probably with time.
To me the negative with the Arkansas/mistress episode isn't the morality, it's the decision making. Hiring his mistress as a subordinate created some potential legal ramifications for himself and the University. It was a terrible decision for himself and for his institution, and that is what may keep him from the Auburn HC position.

Can someone summarize the AU Undercover update from earlier today? I missed the verbatim post and was just curious about what the talk is (if it's even worth summarizing).
