re: I am going dump 100% of bonus in 401k - talk me down

I don't believe that the employer contributions count towards the individual contribution limit for a 401k plan.

If Nus could pull it every now and then and show some wheels that would also help.
Playing scared gets a QB hurt.

Bingo. This is exactly what I got out of it.
It came across as a bit arrogant, but in context he was speaking over the fan base and directly to recruits and potential transfers.

Ofcourse the kid should be given his flowers.
He did not leave the program as others might have in his position and he has put his toughness on display.
The hope is that he corrects the back foot throws, pull the ball and show some wheels, and stop playing scared at times.
This can all be practiced in the offseason which I’m hopeful for.

Nah. We (LSU) were not prepared for the dual threat on that night.
SC knows that all aTm can do is let the kid use his legs along with the dink & dunk passes.
They know he’s not ready to go vertical with the passes. This is why W’Man may see the field this game if he can stop soaking on the sidelines displaying little to no support.

I'm more interested in inquiring if you are ok brother?
That's a loaded question and I want to make sure the undertones aren't being missed here.
I'm available to talk if you just need an unjudgmental ear.

re: Is walking away from a house because a Seller didn't come down 2% more in price petty?

Just curious, given the recent change, who is paying the former 3% buyers fee? Recalling here that the seller floated the entire 6% prior to the change.
Perhaps this has something to do with the seller hesitating on your counter.

Nevermind. I’ve done a bit of research.
It seems that Richard Branson (Virgin Group Founder) purchased the previous HR.

Is there not currently a HardRock in Vegas at the far end of the strip? If so, I wonder what they intend to do with it.
re: House Mortgage Question

Not certain if they have the time or the patience; however, there is a program out there that's really good for first time home buyers. A full point is taken off of the interest rate and there is no down payment required.
I used them many years ago for my first home; however, there is a process. They use the current rent as a baseline to determine current home affordability. Any delta b/w the two they advise having 6 months of that in the bank. Given the 20% mentioned, I don't see how they won't have that.
Program is NACA.com. Not sure if there is an office in their location, but it's worth a look.

re: March Job Numbers: "Stronger than expected"
Posted by Nu Iota Prophet on 4/5/24 at 3:40 pm
I swear this is like pick your poison.
If the job report is positive so goes a good day in the market, but also not so good news for future rate cuts.
If the job report is negative then the market responds negatively, but we then look for the potential rate cut in the horizon.
Where is the sweet spot with all of this?

TT will guide you. If it's incorrect TT will mention any issues when it's time to file.
I enter K-1s in TT. It's rather straight forward. Follow the prompts as asked and you should be fine.
There is a query function in TT if you desire more guidance.
I've always purchased the TT agent help function just in case I have questions whereas I prefer a real-time conversation. It's hit or miss with them as most are just reading from content provided; however, sometimes someone with real knowledge is tabbed.

I was under the impression that we were going to have a serious conversation. I see that I was mistaken. Your response lacks validity and as such I've decided not to accept your explanation.

I'm sorry, but your argument does not make since. It does not matter who says it and how it's said. What matters is the context in which it's said.
Watching the news and political figures weaponize the word does not make it any more than what its true intent is/was.
Let's not get upset when a race uses a term for a good purpose. Again, somehow "Woke" got twisted into something evil. Is that b/c people of color are the primary use of it and therefore it seems frightening thus others must then demonize it? Why is that? Sincere question???
Why is it an issue for people of color to be aware of inequalities that surround them and work hard to bring injustice to light? Should they simply just allow such things to occur unspoken?
Is it really an issue to have a state of enlightenment. To be self-aware; intentional with actions and choices?
Why is this true definition of "Woke" so misused by others attempting to associate it with all things ugly?

“ Blaming the problems of people or institutions on racism, sexism, ect.”
Ok. I can respect your definition of Woke, but I’d like to share with you that it is not the definition people of color has for it when used. Somehow the word or phrase got twisted and is now used as the definition you shared. I’m just trying to understand that when a race uses a word for the purpose of awareness, uplifting, and accountability others choose to spin it for another agenda. This puzzles me. Again, the definition you use, albeit yours, is not the real meaning of the word. Please stop using it out of context. Your definition is describing something else.

You would be correct. Admittedly I was not adequately educated on the matter as I am now. In hindsight, I should have left it alone.

re: Index Universal Life Insurance
Posted by Nu Iota Prophet on 3/1/24 at 12:41 pm
Some would suggest never using insurance as an investment tool. My personal belief is you acquire an IUL based upon your needs/desires.
For example. My wife and I have one. The intent is to have something to pass onto our children in the event of life departure. We did not opt for a term policy, which is cheaper, as it did not fit our needs. IULs can also be used as income in retirement and there is also the option to borrow from it (i.e. yourself) in lieu of the bank. I do not subscribe to the aforementioned, but it is an offering within the policy or shall I say contract.
These were all of my personal reasons, but they may differ for others or simply don't fit at all. They are, in some cases, considered expensive, and the seller does receive a commission which tends to disturb some as if the seller does not have mouths to feed also. Seller's commission is paid by the issuer of the insurance; however, the argument is positioned sometimes that the buyer is really paying for the commission via the fees.
You maybe presented with illustrations that will look pleasing, but don't allow that to be your sole reason to purchase. Again, purchase based upon your need.

Had a 529 for roughly 15 yrs. Got spooked when I learned that FASFA counts it against their calculation for tuition qualification amount. Proceeded to roll it into a Brokerage Account.
In hindsight, if known about the current rollover option, I would have left it alone. I'm not too broken up about it as I understand I still can receive the tax avoidance on the withdrawal(s) with the Brokerage if used for educational purposes.
