It’s a section 8 mecca. Frequent articles touting how many affordable housing units they have there. Section 8 and other forms of subsidized housing is the cancer that kills most cities.

Section 8 itself isnt the problem. My parents used it while my father got out of the army and attended college. Allowing people to use Section 8 their entire lives is the problem. Government assistance should ALWAYS have an expiration date.

I have family living in the Harper’s Ferry area.

It’s amazing and I would absolutely move there. Cost comparable to southern metro areas
