re: Anyone deal with Cluster Headaches?

Most Neurologists worth going to will require a referral from your GP anyway.
I had Clusters from age 21-30 with them getting progressively worse with age. They randomly came on out of no where and went away randomly and have not had one in 6 years. No other way to describe them but as absolute hell. Age 28 was the worst with seven trips to the ER because nothing else worked besides a morphine or demerol drip.
Try the different "Triptans" to see which one works best for you. I tried them all, but found the Imitrex injections to work the best for me. Oxygen can also provide a little relief, but it was kind of hit or miss. Also, find your triggers and avoid them, i.e. certain alcohol, foods, smoking.
Might sound dumb, but I believe part of the reason they stopped for me was due to seeing a counselor and unpacking years of psychological baggage. It is crazy what effect stress can have on your body.
Best of luck to you as these can be truly life altering.
