Big Bam, just wondering where you came across that picture? It's always cool to see my work live on in cyberspace. Here are two more I created.
just trying to do my part. I understand I need some e-cred before getting invited to the super secret insider "chat"
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- ESPN 150 athlete Brendan Langley (Marietta, Ga./Kell) sent Georgia fans into a frenzy recently when he tweeted that the Bulldogs were no longer his leader. Nor were they second or third. Just two days earlier he had told TideNation that Georgia was his top choice. Suddenly the Bulldogs fell to fourth in the senior athlete's top five schools. He won't say exactly what happened.

"I will say what I can. I can say it was a little bit of a misunderstanding between me and them so I don't want anybody to think they are out of the race at all," Langley said. "They are in my top five, but they are just not first."

Radi Nabulsi/ESPN.comESPN 150 defender Brendan Langley mentions position coaches when discussing his top five schools, all SEC.
Alabama had led for Langley earlier this year until Georgia took over the top spot. Now the Tide is back on top.

"It is just the relationship I have with the coaches over there," Langley said. "It is real strong and I like everything about the school. That is not to say I don't like everything about Georgia, being that they moved down. I love both schools, but Alabama just happened to take a little run for it. They did nothing in particular. It is early in the process and I am just going with my heart -- and my heart told me Alabama needs to be first, so that is who is first."

Tennessee occupies the second spot on Langley's list because one of his former teammates suits up for the Volunteers.

"I am pretty sure everybody knows I have ties up there with Brian Randolph," Langley said. "He is one of my best friends, so that is going to help them out a lot."

Surprisingly, South Carolina jumped ahead of Georgia as well.

"That is the one that has people asking, 'What?' " Langley said. "But Coach [Grady] Brown and Coach [Lorenzo] Ward are phenomenal coaches. That is all I can say about them. They are great. Coach Ward was at Virginia Tech with Macho Harris and all those big-time cornerbacks when he was the cornerbacks coach and now he is the defensive coordinator. Coach Brown has NFL cornerbacks like Patrick Peterson texting him saying, 'Hey, Coach, I need to get back down there this summer so we can work.' So that says a lot about them."

Langley has Florida as the fifth school on his list, his fourth school from the SEC East.

"That is another good relationship I have, with Coach [Travaris] Robinson," Langley said. "Florida doesn't do a bad job producing defensive backs either. With Joe Haden and Janoris Jenkins -- I think it is safe to say, right behind Deion Sanders, I think Jenkins is the second best cornerback I have seen in my life. So there are pluses for them too."

Langley spent Sunday and Monday visiting Alabama and he plans to take some additional visits during the summer.

"I will visit Georgia," Langley said. "I want to get to Clemson and Florida. June 22 is UCLA and USC and that will probably be it. USC hasn't offered me yet but I am hoping when I get down there it will spark up. I really like them and I love Coach [Tee] Martin. That's my guy. I feel like I could do big things over there. They are going to be losing six defensive backs by the time I go in, and I will be a mid-year graduate. So when I get going in January, six DBs will be gone so I think that will be a great opportunity for me. I just want to get out there and get a feel for it first, having not been out there."
It could be an interesting week for the fans of Georgia and Alabama, as 5-star RB prospect Derrick Henry will spend three days on an unofficial visit to Alabama this coming weekend.
Derrick Henry at Yulee

Henry is currently verbally committed to Georgia and did so last July at Georgia’s DawgNight camp.

Dawgs247 caught up with Henry on Monday and this is what he said about his situation and what to expect after this weekend.

Where are you at today (Monday) with your situation? Do you consider yourself still committed to Georgia?

“I am still committed to Georgia, but I would say I am still looking around too. There has been a bunch of crazy stuff said by people but I am still committed to Georgia, but I am looking around.”

What has your conversations with the Georgia staff been like over the last month or so?

“Just basically what everybody has been saying, but we talk about them offering me from day one, they are not recruiting me as an athlete, they are recruiting me as a running back. They feel like I could really help them and that I have been committed for so long and how important I am to them.”

There is so much talk going around about you not playing running back on the next level. Has that bothered you any?

“I mean it does bother you some, because you see it everywhere and people come to you about it. That gets kind of old and annoying at times, but I just have to keep working.”

What is it about Alabama that has got your attention over the last few months?

“Just my relationship with Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt and their past history with them has shown that their running backs are going to be successful and have become 1st round draft picks. I also like Coach (Burton) Burns too.”

Do you feel like it will be a while before you make a final decision or is this something you will know after the Alabama visit?

“I think I will have a pretty good idea on Sunday after this visit about my decision.”
I am a member of BOL and appreciate the staff articles, the Bama target list, easy quick access to recruit and expert twitter links and the occasional inside info that gets posted. I am between this bama thread and BOL most of the day. I don't comment on here as much as do BOL but I think its generally worth $10/month. It is the best bama pay site in my opinion but I guess if push game to shove and I couldn't scrounge $10 each month I could make due with just this site. To be honest I prefer the layout over on BOL better than here but information is information.
so I am a self admitted lurker since I have no inside info and now all the good info is in "chat". Can I get in on this or am I just out in the cold?

just like AU fans to start bragging about their kicker. I guess I would too if I didn't have anything else to look forward to for next season

Didn't Keenan Allen flip last year? Craig Sanders the year before that?

Sanders was kinda shown the door a bit like Justin Thomas was this past year. Not really sure he counts. Keenan Allen was all Bama until he wanted to drag his QB brother along and Bama balked at the extra scholarship.

found this little article on hogville talking about Tenpenny after the Sparq competition last year
Tenpenny

Found this little nugget in there that I thought funny, "Just like i dont see AT leaving Ar, i dont see LC leaving La. JMO" -meanwhile both are going to be at Alabama.

one of the reasons Tenpenny is rated so high even though he missed last season is that he blew up the SPARQ competition last year in Oregon. He finished second overall as a junior even though he was competing against seniors. The overall winner of the competition was Landon Collins so that should tell you how athletic this kid is. He beat out all of the other 2012 recruits except for Collins. Can you stay stud!!!
