re: Arby Fields offered a place on next year's team per Mainieri

"They can all hit better than him and arent far behind him at all defensively..."
Now that is a load of cr..p!!!! Give me a break. Edwards couldn't get to out of bounds to catch pop ups-Katz can't cover the allys and made a fool of himself trying to make catches. Thanks god for the HR'S. All three starting against SB ran like they had rocks in their pants. Speed is the name of the game.

But, he was the best outfielder on LSU'S team. Didn't run like he had rocks in his pants.

We had to make a decision to sacrifice defense for offense. It was the right move given our hitting. Arby was an automatic out. It was not a bad move at all. Not even close.
Couldn't disagree more with your reasoning. Fields played the first game and we won. Our hitting was so bad what difference would it have made. FIELDS would have got several of those fly balls that Katz missed and definitly the one he missed that cost two runs. Again, it was PM who did it and it cost the team runs.

their coach had the outfield positioned perfect on multiple occasions too.
I disagree, their outfield was faster and mor athletic than LSU. We looked like we had rocks in our pants!!!! Rhymes-good hitter, but slow. Katz-good hitter, but why in the hell was he playing center field? Bad mistake on PM part. No, SB outfielders were fast. No junk in their trunk.

Touche-our outfield ran like they had weights in their jock. How many times did SB outfield get popups out of bounds at least five times. LSU could never reach them. Also, taking Fields out of center field was a stupid mistake. The center fielder cost us runs by his poor play. Another bad decision by PM. Fields would have easily chased down several hits to center field.

No, everyone is trying to keep SEC teams to one team. If you want an NFL conference champion format, then watch the NFL. I hate the idea. I hate a 6 loss team won the Super Bowl. To me, that devalues the season and doesn't crown a true champion, more than the 2 best teams being matched up.
Do overs will no longer count. Win your division and conference and you move on. If you don't, see you in the chicken bowl. :geauxtigers:

I agree, plus if you don't win your conference you don't play.

Besides Baton Rouge, what city in America would you like to move to and coach college ball? Then we all take up a collection and help him move there!!

Jordan Jefferson-wins the Oscar for having the biggest delusions of any Quarterback to play in a Natonal Championship Game.

Couldn't agree more, Miles hitched the last part of the LSU season to Jordan Jefferson and the fanbase and the nation saw JJ win the Oscar for the worst performance as a Quarterback in two Championship games. Les Miles Coach of the Year to Coach DUFUS in one game, priceless!!!!!!! :geauxtigers:
re: Lee will make it in the NFL, but

Let us face the fact that Lee nor Jefferson received the proper training from Les Miles. Three years under Crowton left very little time for Kragthorpe to repair the damage done to what could have been two very good college quarterbacks. That said, Lee on a practice squad and Jefferson hanging out at Tigerland Bars for the next three to five years.
