re: Pebble

Bayonet > Blackhorse, pacific grove, when you hit the ocean on the back, buckle up, winds can be monster but an incredible value, spyglass is the hardest course I have ever played, and I have been to Pebble, Pinehurst, whistling straights…. And a lot of other PGA courses…. But still worth it…. I will go back again !!
Hi..... for the week following the championship game, there were two clips that showed the pure happiness of the event..... I can't find them now..... the first was Burrow and Queen sitting on the sofa waiting for the post game press event where they looked/smiled at each other..... the second was Burrow standing on the field about to be interviewed when he looked up, took a breath and seemed to really appreciate the moment/accomplishment.... anyone have links to those clips? I have been looking for awhile and can't find them.... feel free to share other links as well... but those two were my favorite.....

What a year !
Play design by Shanahan is so creative and a joy to watch..... fits their personal to the tee..... he stumbled a few times with clock management early in the year but his in your face play calling (all run no pass) really exposes and demoralizes defenses when they can't stop it...... its like game over and everyone knows it.....

If you have watched the 9rs all year, they can pass, not world class, but better than average..... allow for one or two bozo throws by Jimmy G a game, but net net, he can get the job done...... just look at his record.....

Finally, and the reason I am more confident that I probably should be about the 9rs in this game (and as a team) is they absolute control the line of scrimmage on both sides.....O and D..... that wins championships.....

Their D line and run blocking is old school which in a way is fun to watch for a change after all these Offense driven teams

IF there is an achilles heel, it may be stopping a scrambling quarterback, that's the wild card with KC/Mahomes.... they absolutely smash up pocket quarterbacks but can struggle stopping runners.... J. Winston (W1 of 2), K. Murray (W2 of 2), L. Jackson (W0/1), R. Wilson (W1 of 2).... so, basically should be a great game.

This year for football has been incredible for me..... born and raised in LA but living in the Bay Area for 20 years now, aint got no complaints.....

They will buzz him when its time to talk *
I am one of his biggest fans, but he got a PF yesterday for a late tackle in the end zone... it wasnt nescesary and clearly looked like a play a problem player would make.... jury still out...

there is no denying his ball skills, speed, and instincts... he will be a player.... not sure what will happen to his reputation....

not a bad stat for recruiting....

Barry Sanders played at OSU but his son wanted to burn his own trail and chose Stanford...... it can go either way.
First of all, I am optimistic that the program is still strong and have another championship year ahead. But in all my years of following sports, have you ever seen such a dramatic impact one game had on a program regarding:
- perception on teams accomplishments
- perception on teams character
- perception on teams coach's ability
- impact on recruiting class
- impact on fan base
- etc....

it seemed that on Monday afternoon we were on top of the mountain and today.... well.... you know the rest of the story.

Looking forward to next year, no doubt that this last game will serve to keep the fire in the bellies of our team....

Hopefully we have reached closure and can have some nice surprises with the rest of this recruiting process....

the ranting fan base looks silly..... you guys need to wake up and smell the roses..... your wallowing in your own muck....
if that is how you feel, that is how you feel..... crazy.... and funny to an outsider, but I believe you when you say that.....

I know he lost me
No way I go down without throwing everything but the kitchen sink at them. Miles is dead to me as a leader or representative of LSU. I dont give up and I won't support someone who does.
LSU is bigger than Miles and it will
Recover in time.'OU and OSU and others have taken their lumps but I never thought I'd see the day when a head coach just didn't even try to win. I'm still in shock and will be so the rest of my life. This is like a death. You don't forget it. but time will slowly ease the pain. Is it only a game? No, it wS the national championship. It wasn't just a game.

We were set up this year too. Then Miles happened

Miles is not perfect.... but he is better then most. Hopefully he builds from this.

I think a lot of people here have lost complete perspective of what happened.... and to be honest, the vocal nature and public display via internet/twitter/message boards does nothing but harm to the image of the program.

If you really were a fan, you would be moving on from the tough loss.... quit looking for wild arse theories as to why we were beat.... and provide some support to the program so that we can close our the recruiting year with some talent that will help us in future years....

:geauxtigers:
I don't understand our fan base. Lots of passion for sure, but my god..... it can be as nasty to our own as we are to our rivals. Perhaps, more so.... such is the case now.

We got beat. There is no conspiracy. We have a damm good football team and coach. They are not perfect.

We are set up for a great run next year.

Mellow out.... or your childish behavior will tear it all down....

:geauxtigers:
I doubt it..... only one team gets to show recruits the ultimate prize, the others pitch we are just one or two great players away.... you are that player..... join us....

what people are going to remember about this period is the crappy quarterback situation and how nasty our fans acted....

this year will be perfect motivation for next years championship run....

this is what I think....

And the way he handled himself in this 1 lousy loss will forever cloud his record at LSU and as a Coach. Playing devil's advocate here you are already seeing the recruiters from other schools recruiting kids by telling them that Miles didn't lead LSU one of its best seasons in history but the real leader was its backup QB. Miles & the LSU PR team are going to have a tough time coming back from this IMO.

I too have moved on..... what a great year and so looking forward to the next.... with the JJ/JL era over, and a stable full of talent all over the place, next year is going to be another great journey....
