Under. Unless bama played lsu again. That's the only time that joker gets the desire.

This is true. The only thing that keep Less coached teams slightly above average is his ability to recruit. Better hope he continues this trend with guys that are allegedly leaning to LSU. If not, it is going to be a long 2-3 seasons before the sorry Administration does what is long overdue; get rid of this joker of a HC.

I don't see why all the upvotes for anything below 5, are you people morons? We have a chance for one of the biggest hauls in recruiting history and the majority of them are in Louisiana! We already have commits from the number 3 RB and number 1 CB in the nation in 2015. That's two 5 stars for the idiots. I suppose you dumbasses would rather fire Miles and lose out on the perfect storm of recruits for 2014 and 2015?
Let's see how those classes end up before we worship miles recruiting ability. Where were these skills for the glaring defensive weaknesses on this team. Regardless, recruiting is only a part of it. Less still can't coach. his teams are never ready and execution is average at best. The o line, his alleged specialty annually underperforms. He takes 5 star linemen and makes them into undrafted free agent pickups.

With Miles you get limited discipline which leads to poor execution. Combined with tendencies from the 70s and you get underachievement annually. The only solid attribute Less brings is recruiting however that skill will be tested this season after yet another average season. If he misses on a few of the big remaining targets on the board and it could get ugly fast.

You're a fricking idiot. I am right about lsu and all the momentum agrees. Lsu is fricked until miles leaves. In the meantime, go jump off a cliff and frick yourself

You sir are the moron. Les took the keys to a Ferrari and maintained for a while. The wins have come in spite of the uninspired, undisciplined football his teams always possess. the wins came due to the foundation Saban set and miles ability to continue to recruit. Less has destroyed this foundation and is losing major recruits. With the recruiting down, the talent can no longer hide his obvious coaching deficiencies. now 3 losses will be the norm unless he gets lucky and recruits another tyrann Mathieu to save his sorry arse. I'm in the I'd rather greatness than accepting of mediocrity (3-4 losses) crowd. But the questions becomes, is lsu committed to greatness? Allevas bullshite comments after extending the goofball were mind blowing. The leader leads from the front. Alleva accepts just being in the game while bama AD wants to win the game. And they won the game and will keep winning the game until miles is gone and the mindset changes.

Why would aTm hire Less?

I'm almost starting to feel sorry for Bear Bryant at this point. If Bama wins the title this year Saban will have accomplished the 3 pete Bryant never did, and will have more than one national title for every two years he's been at Bama (4/7). Bryant had slightly less one title for every four years at Bama (6/25). I sense a Saban-Bryant-Denny stadium in the future. EDIT- Though thanks to LSU, Saban has a lower SEC Championship rate, even presuming Bama wins it this year - that's "only" 3/7, as opposed to Bryant's 13/25. The SEC was smaller back then though.
I think we are splitting hairs here. Both are legends. Sure, Saban only lost less than 3 games at lsu 1 time in 5 season but he is remarkable at bama. I will point out though, that politics all play a significant role in the comparison. Saban should not have the 2011 title. That was horseshite and everyone knows it. At the same time i am not positive but would say confidently that bear claimed a title or 2 with other unbeatens the same year that have an argument. This is the problem with college football. There is never a true champion and won't be until a deep playoff is implemented like in FCS (8-16 teams). Otherwise, the most political and corrupt schools will keep claiming titles.

Question: What do you think are the 2 or 3 major changes that Les needs to make to catch up to Alabama and keep ahead of Auburn, Ole Miss and Texas A&M?
If Less has to stay in the equation:
1. Expand recruiting efforts outside the state to nationally elite athletes to compensate when Landon Collins or can Robinson choose bama
2. Beef up the defense. Enough with linebackers playing DE, safeties playing LB, and corners playing safety
re: Can Miles convince some of our Juniors to stick around?
Posted by TheWinBar on 11/12/13 at 2:11 pm
You will see a similarity to last year this season. Disgruntled talented players leaving earlier than they really should because they are not utilized correctly due to the ineptness of coaching. And, Les has to go for it to change. Welcome to mediocrity until then.

Will Less still be our coach? If so, doesn't matter.

So pretty much you're going to pick the year after we sent a lot of juniors to the draft to try to make a point about Les not coaching up talent? Seriously?
Our drafted DB's looked lost under Raymond.
Also, give the 'we lost a lot' excuse a rest. FSU had more players drafted than LSU and Bama has the same number drafted. They are also 'young' except are well coached and are dominating the landscape. Less and Company are incompetent. Get use to 3 losses until a change is made.

Not worthy of 4MM a year if you ask me. This years recruiting class is quite possibly the biggest ever for our program. If Miles doesn't keep our top LA talent we are toast cause we all know he can't coach guys up.
Great points all around.
What Miles and staff are doing isn't worth the coin LSU is paying. This coming up class is very big to maintain this "Golden Era" of LSU ball. I like the instate talent however believe LSU needs to go after more big time out of state guys moving forward. You cannot put all your eggs in the La basket and lose out on guys like Landon Collins and Devall. If this sort of thing happens, then you may suck as these positions and LSU certainly sucks at LB and S this year. I still believe none of this really matters because of the inability on the sidelines anyway. For LSU to become truly elite again, Less and 3rd & Chavis and his toothpick defense has to go.

Can we stop talking about Landon Collins? He picked Bama. It sucked. He likes to run his mouth. He's a good player. THE END
Any big time instate prospect that spurns lsu feels its necessary to justify their decision over and over. It simply shows immaturity. Did he really believe choosing Bama in S La would go over well. He's considered a sellout down there and everyone let him know. Regardless, who can blame him. who would you rather play for? a dufus or defensive genius and it was a big decision since its apparent that lsu sucks at safety and he's good. And frick Espn once again for their shitty arse journalism and stirring the pot. I hate Espn.

I welcome this and hope he can talk Miles into retirement with him. Who knew 205 pound LBs and 240 pound DEs would not be able to fill holes or shed blockers

This is my dream. Please happen. Please.
