I think the 9th football game is the difference. Likely worth many millions. And why the SEC is holding out on going to a 9 game schedule unless ESPN ponies up more money

Not accurate. The $300 mil per year is in addition to the existing ESPN/SEC Network Deal. That $300 mill is primarily for the CBS package. When you compare apples to apples, the consensus is that the Big Ten will distribute about $80 mil per school and the SEC will distribute about $70 mil per school. That also accounts for the fact that the Big Ten has 18 schools versus 16 in the SEC

Article in Houston Biz Journal about the JW stated that it is scheduled to open Aug 15. But they may be behind schedule.

It is also good if you bring kids. They can meet Mike the Tiger and the cheerleaders. Sometimes they have coaches and players for other LSU sports teams that the kids can meet also. They also give away free mini-footballs and t-shirts sometimes. Kids like that.
But of course, the big draw is the free beer, AC, SEC game of the week on TV, and the Tiger Band.

Same here. Wierd how they allocate tickets.
