One and only time I was invited to attend the game with the team. Great experience, right up to the time we lost. It was interesting how Les handled it on the way home. I remember I was surprised, because he actually gave the team a day off after the game. You always hear about coaches running guys after the game, but not how Les played it.

Roosevelt is the best, but I'm a bit biased. Homewood Suites and the Hilton on St. Charles are excellent as well. :cheers:

Arkansas has one slightly above average season in the last twenty years and the fans are out talking smack in full force. Man, what would it be like if R Kansas ever played for a title?
RV Parking around War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock

I know there was a thread earlier that asked if there were any RV spots around the stadium, but I don't see it anymore and I don't believe it had any details. Is it reserved spots only? If not, when do you need to be there to get a spot?

I don't think they're going for the disco or Razzoo's feel at the Sazerac, as it is in the lobby of a luxury hotel. It is a great place to have a drink with friends though.

Not trying to be a smart a#$, but walk around UF's campus on LSU/Florida gameday in purple and gold and let me know how "nice" people are to you. True story, after one of the many Spurrier beat downs in the '90s, had women getting in my face doing the "Loser State" thing. I personally consider that part of the experience and don't let it bother me. If you want nice, go to Auburn. I found they were extremely nice, even after a tough loss last year.

Trindon has had two (Ole Miss and Arkansas). I am pretty sure Ole Miss was in Oxford, and I think Arkansas was in Little Rock. Eddie Kennison had one in the Independence Bowl against Michigan State. I don't believe there have been any others in recent memory, although I'm not 100% certain.

I'm an LSU fan through and through, but I am really happy for Mitch Gaspard. Very good coach and a strong recruiter. He continues the trend of Northwestern State Coaches in the SEC (Wells, Van Horn at Arkansas, Cohen at Kentucky and then Miss. State, and now Mitch at Bama). Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Not trying to be combative, but I love listening to the reasoning for leaving this year, i.e., he's got a very slim chance for a successful pro career so he should quit college early. That is some seriously funny stuff.

If Mitch gets the Bama job, it will continue the trend of former Northwestern State head coaches in the SEC. Counting Mitch, the last 4 NSU coaches are coaching in the SEC right now: Wells at Bama, Van Horn at Arkansas, Cohen at MSU and Mitch at Bama. You would think the Demons would be a baseball dynasty.

Hate to break the news to you, but Kentucky fans can be pretty crude after a win as well. I was in Lexington for the '07 game. I have never received that many middle finger salutes in my life. Although unlike the more sensitive types, I laughed it off.

Florida 58-3. I have a friend that is a Florida fan, and he came to the game. He kept trying to get me to bet, but I new how much we sucked. The line was around 30, but I wouldn't bite until he got to 50. Hard to imagine today, but I had LSU and 50 in a HOME GAME and lost. My how times have changed.

Luke, I just wanted to post about what a great time we had at the game. We arrived on Thursday and partied for three days in the rear RV lot. The Auburn fans were great and partied with us before and after the game. Everything was fantastic, including the electricity at game time. Classy comments like yours were the norm throughout the weekend.

For anyone with past experience, is Auburn a good place to go in an RV. We are going this year and are considering bringing the RV. Specifically, is there a decent area to park without an RV Pass?
