re: Any products you boycott based on company's political lean?
Posted by nascar99 on 8/18/22 at 7:29 am
The list is very, very long including:
WNBA
NBA
NFL
ESPN Sportcenter
all soccer leagues
CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, Disney
Gillette
Kelloggs
Starbucks
Ben & Jerry's
Coca Cola
NIKE
Levi's
Goodyear
Kohl's
Facebook
Google
Goodwill
Red Cross
United Way'
Salvation Army
Been boycotting Gillette for 3 years since that absurd commercial aired on TV.
Been boycotting Kelloggs for about 4 years since finding out they were one of the first corporations to donate to Black Lives Matter
And started boycotting Levi's last year when I found out they were one of the most woke corporations in the country.
And virtually every major airline is woke, so if you need to fly somewhere, you pretty much have no choices.

Yes, me too. I quit buying Gillette after release of that commercial a few years ago

Detroit's population has dropped from 1.8 million in 1950 to 640,000 in 2020. That's a drop of over 1.1 million. Who in their right mind would want to live in that dying city ?
re: What is the most flawless football game you have ever seen LSU play?

I agree LGBM.
This beat down caused Bear Bryant to retire at the end of the 1982 season.
The Bear died two months later.
We dominated that game in Tuscaloosa

yes, good chance of rain on Sunday, but Friday and Saturday should be fine, just a little cold on Friday night.

Aaron Nola, his Friday night starts where a thing of beauty.
And I would have to put Alex Bregman second.

He's no fraud.
He was the first astronaut to have a successful EVA (space walk/work), on Gemini 12, which helped paved the way for missions to the moon.
He was a little arrogant though, but I guess he had earned it !!!

I am not going to say anything negative about Wayne Graham, I have a lot of respect for him and all what he's done at Rice...
I'm with you. The last game Wally Pontiff played for LSU was against Rice. When Mr Graham found out about Wally's death, he shipped the 3rd base bag to Wally's family. Now that Class !!!!

The game's attendance of 2,559 people was the largest of the year by more than 150 That's pretty sad.
Missouri is a MLB state. Most people are Cards fans. I imagine a lot have jumped on the Royals Bandwagon as well.
I enjoyed how close the seats were to the field and how small Taylor stadium was. Plus, I got to sit behind the LSU on deck circle for $5. Can't beat that.
Ditto above.
I was sitting right next to this guy (LSUChamp06). He's my son. Also in attendance was his son (my grandson).
It was a great time. We attended all three games. But Sunday was the best, we sat in Row 1 right behind the on deck circle for LSU, so close we could have touched the players thru the netting.

61 years old. Been an LSU football fan since I was five, and never missed a game on TV or person since. But I'm tired. If Miles can't turn around the offense, after given a clear referendum to do so, how do we keep him. It's clear: Get the offense straightened out or find someplace else.
62 years old. Been an LSU football fan since Billy Cannon's days. But I too am very, very tired of the state of the program. Miles continues to run this 1960's - 1970's style of offense, we cannot recruit good QB's and we cannot develop the ones we do recruit. The lack of discipline (penalties), the lack of execution, the lack of effort(where is your pride, your competitive nature), it's just more than one can take.
Losing to Bama, I can live with that, they have been clearly the best team we play every year the past 5 or 6 years, with the best talent and coached by the best coach in the country. But losing like we did to Arkansas and Ole Miss is just unacceptable.
For the salaries we are paying these coaches, we the fans deserve better and the players certainly deserve better.

Put in your senior year undefeated QB when the offense can not cross mid field in the freaking national championship game! He never gave the team a chance to win. Forever 21-0.
Well put. Many will never, never forgive Miles for doing this to the team, the university and the fans. It was stubbornness and arrogance at it's highest level. And then one year later, LSU gives him a two year contract extension, what the heck where they thinking ???
re: How old does a kid have to be to need a ticket?
Posted by nascar99 on 9/5/15 at 8:45 am
If it breathes, it buys a ticket. At least that's what everyone here always says.
That is correct, you must have a ticket for your baby no matter how young it is. If this was a baseball game, the baby would not need a ticket. Children 3 and under do not need a ticket for baseball games at the Box

What is PPG would have been if they had a 3 pt line...
Dale Brown charted all of his made shots one year and Pete would have averaged 57 points per game that particular year.
His ball handling skills and passing skills were and are unmatched in the history of basketball.
He was truly the greatest of all time !!!

Was just wondering if anyone could help me out here. I have a 4 year old little boy, looking to bring him down for his first game this year. I would imagine he would need a ticket but I've heard from some people that he wouldn't since he's so young. I don't know if that's 100% true. Was just seeing if anyone could give me a definite answer. Thanks in advance.
As per my 2015 Fan Guide:
All persons above the age of 3 must present a ticket for admission to Alex Box Stadium. Children 3 and under are admitted free of charge.

I have nosebleed tickets, which no longer require the TAF "Donation" (was $50 per ticket). This was always due March 31st, but now that I don't have to pay the donation, I'm guessing I only need to pay for the tickets by May 31st, as usual.
I have not received anything by normal mail or email, except for signing up on a list for additional tickets, new tickets, or for a parking pass. Anyone else in the same boat as me? Do I have to go confirm I will keep the tickets I had last year?
I had to make a payment of $50.00 per seat by March 31st. They called it a "Deposit". I'm assuming you have to pay this "deposit" so that LSU holds your season tickets for you. I moved my seats to a section that no longer requires a Tradition Fund. contribution. When I get my bill for my season tickets in April, the $100.00 will show up as a credit to my total bill.
