from US Army All American Bowl weekend....very well put together...
5 year old's weekend in San Antonio
Enjoy! Thanks for the support!!
From Caleb's mom:
My family and myself would like to thank everyone who sent donations, well wishes and prayers to make such an unbelievable weekend in San Antonio for the Army All American game. Since Caleb's diagnosis almost 2 years ago we have a lot more bad memories than we do good but this past weekend was all smiles and the memories will stay with us for the rest of our lives. It was all made possible because of a wonderful man with a heart of gold who took an idea and ran with it and people from all over the country that read Caleb's story are were moved by it. You all are awe inspiring. Everything that was taken care of for us for the weekend was jaw dropping but then add in the $5200 that was donated to Caleb's oncology clinic was.....WOW I honestly have no words. Cancer in general is very scary for anyone but in a child (especially in your own child) it's devastating. The clinic has helped us heal and deal with Caleb's leukemia in so many ways from making Caleb a little bit more at ease with some of the treatments to making Caleb smile through games or activities when we have had to be there all day for blood transfusions or chemo that takes hours to push. Trust me when I say that money will be put to very good use. Once again I thank everyone who made this weekend possible for us and for the huge donation to our clinic. Sending huge hugs to everyone!

Caleb and his family had a great time in San Antonio this weekend. We toured his clinic, and thanks to you made a $5,200.00 donation. He and his family received autographs, t-shirts/hats, and support from college football fans across the country. We met Army commanders, players, watched football, and did interviews with local media. Thanks to you and your support a difference was made for a young child battling through Acute Lymphoblastic Luekemia, his famiy, and other children in the Austin community
If you'd like to continue to support Caleb and the Children's Blood and Cancer Center of Texas please visit: SUPER HERO KIDS AT DELL CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL and make a donation in honor of CALEB NYBERG (attaching his name to it is very important so the hospital directs the funds to his clinic)
Follow the Shon Coleman Tribute Fund on facebook to see more pictures and media updates from the weekend. Support Caleb, Shon Coleman, and others in need

US Army All American Bowl weekend.......
Posted by wareagle044 on 12/17/10 at 11:32 am
I will be taking 5 year old, Caleb Nyberg, to the US Army All American game in San Antonio this January. Caleb has been battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia since he was 3 years old. I have made arrangements for him and his family to have a meet in greet with the players and tickets for the game, however, they may have to come up a few days early for and I am trying to curve as much of the financial burden for them as possible. I am raising funds to help pay for hotel, gas, food, and would like to put together a bowl "prize pack" for Caleb and his brother that consist of helmets, jerseys with their name, and footballs to get signed when they meet the players. The more funds that are raised the bigger and better I can make that prize pack. Any leftover funds will be donated to the treatment facility Caleb is being treated at. (Children's Blood and Cancer Center of Central Texas in Austin)

Pietra,
You are correct. Thanks for providing that link. A little about me: I'm a junior at Auburn University majoring in Animal Sciences. Originally from College Statin, TX (sorry I do like the Aggies), went to high school in Amarillo, TX, and joined the Army in 2004. I started the shon coleman tribute fund ( LINK ) while i was deployed with my reserve unit last year. I completed a 26.2 km road march with an auburn flag flying in Shon's honor. Caleb's aunt is an Auburn alumnus and showed Caleb's mother the effort because he has the same form of cancer as Shon. Caleb's mom contacted me offering her support and encouragement. The Army gave me tickets to the All American game and I want to provide my support and encouagement to Caleb and his family. If you would prefer to make a donation directly to the clinic Caleb is being treated at please visit LINK **Caleb is the kid in the red cape.
The fund I have set up for Caleb is to help put togther memorabilia gift pack, pay for food, gas, and other expenses. If you'd prefer to donate a gift card or something then contact me at CNybergTrip@hotmail.com
