Columbia's acceptance rate is 4% and the average GPA for incoming freshman is 4.15. The average SAT score composite at Columbia University is a 1524 on the 1600 SAT scale. The average ACT score at Columbia University is 35 out of 36.
Imagine being so eaten up with politics that you’re dismissive of an Ivy League education (particularly in engineering).
re: Ethan Frey...Is the plan for him to take over for JJ at 1st??

Unless he doesn't care for the college experience, he would be best served coming back and earning a position. One year as a DH isn't enough to assume MLB GMs are salivating. Some guys are leaving regardless of where they are drafted. I sincerely hope he is getting good advice.
No, I don’t think that any of this is correct. First of all, he would lose his draft leverage as a senior. Second of all, he is not at DH because he is a limited athlete or anything; his athletic ability could make him projectable at multiple positions. Third of all, there is added risk in coming back and suffering another injury, or not working out defensively at whatever position they settle on, when his draft stock may be at its highest right now.

Fair warning that I did not actually dine at this place, but if you’re planning to hang around the area of the Eiffel Tower, one of the restaurants that was on my list to try was La Fontaine de Mars.
Also, if you’re looking for other attractions that are relatively close to the tower, you could plan to check out Les Invalides, especially if you have any interest in military history.
More general advice - my understanding is that it is generally appreciated to greet people with ‘Bonjour’ when interacting with them, or even just entering a place of business (small shop, café, restaurant). I generally followed this approach and had a good experience despite my shaky French.

These are the children raised on participation trophies and not keeping score in games. Many of them have never been told “no” in their life, and this is the result.
I would guess that most of these guys have probably been playing hypercompetitive baseball from a very young age with selective travel ball teams.

What I find strange is that Jay helped him so much from in the eight months after he left South Carolina to when he did well at LSU. Then in off season number two under Jay he did what exactly? Because this year he can’t come close to maintaining the improvements he made from 2023 to 2024. In fact he regressed and head-scratchingly so
He was actually rounding into form during SEC play this year, IIRC at some point in our doldrums this year he was close to leading the team in SEC batting average again. He’s fallen way off since then, however.

This is a bill searching for some sort of problem that doesn’t exist.
What is the motive and the reasoning for this bill? I can’t think of one positive benefit of this.
I can name two: building a case for his re-election, and building a case for his possible run for a higher office.

Could be nursing a slight injury.

I think that Schmidt is going to kick it up to another level next year, but Evans and recently Williams have been so impressive that it’s going to be interesting to see the opening rotation next year.
Forgot to mention Rizy - I’d have to think he’s the top candidate for closer.

He seemed off, though.
At some point if both of your spectacular 1a/1b aces aren’t looking their best in back-to-back games, there’s a chance that they’re just facing a tough hitting team.

Eyanson is pitching as well as usual, but if there’s one area where WVU is excelling this weekend, it’s hitting. We will need to put more runs up - ideally at least double digits.

Get that fool out of the game. Should have never put him in. He's no where near ready to play College Baseball.
Going into today, his WHIP was lower this year than Kade’s WHIP as a freshman last year.

2/6 for the season with bases loaded for Pearson. 2 grand slams.

I guess we can assume going forward that anyone getting appearances almost exclusively as a late-game defensive replacement will be hitting the portal at the end of the season.

Yes it’s a good thing that Bregman’s career batting performance has been completely free of scandal, you’re right about that.
