Should NOT trade for anyone. Should be in fire sale mode

It’s painful to watch our offense struggle to score points. It’s been this way for a while, even going back to the very end with Brees.

This leads me to believe the offensive scheme as a whole needs to be replaced. Sure, Ronald Curry might be able to find a better flow when it comes to playcalling but things won’t change that dramatically. Receivers are running deep vertical routes over and over and just flat out not getting open. The QB changes, the personnel changes, but the results are the same… watching Carr/Winston/Dalton hold onto the ball forever until they’re sacked and we kick FGs.

The truth is, Carmichael knew he wasn’t shite without Payton. That’s why they had to twist his arm into being OC. He does the same dumb shite as Payton such as driving the ball down the field, enter redzone, put in Taysom at QB and run for a 2 yard loss killing the drive and ending in a FG. Also, if it’s 3rd and 5 or less you can guarantee a hail mary pass downfield.

Problem is, you don’t have one of the best QBs ever to adjust in game and cover holes in this scheme. These coaches have no idea how to adjust for that. It is over for this entire offensive coaching staff.
Doesn’t matter. Dead man walking.

No doubt a conservative philosophy on offense which fits Carmichael perfectly. Imagine having to twist someone’s arm to be a coordinator in the NFL.

It’s why regardless of who plays QB, we’re a 17 point offense at best.
This is much more likely to be reality…

1st and 10… handoff up the middle for no gain.

2nd and 10… quick pass caught for 4 yards and WR gains 5 more after catch for a total of 9 yards.

3rd and 1… send all WRs 40 yards downfield while QB gets killed.

4th and 1… shitty punt

I’ve never seen a team attempt more bombs on 3rd and short than us. You have Thomas and Hill who NEVER get tackled backwards yet never use them for short yardage screens/quick passes.

Truth is, our entire offensive staff is terrible and still thinks prime Brees is running the offense.

There is no possession, no ball control, no scoring, and no rhythm regardless of who plays QB. Carmichael trying to be Sean Payton isn’t working.

Having to basically twist his arm into being our OC was pathetic.
I think about that every time I see him or hear his name.

He calls plays like it too. Scared

The no call on Olave was pretty bad after the Lattimore call on the previous drive.

You bet your arse there would have been 4 flags and 4 hats on the ground if that was our cornerback. How many times have we seen PI called for much less than that.

frickers call EVERYTHING with any kind of contact. Example, the Mathieu penalty. Suddenly for the deep ball to Olave, swallows the whistle.

3rd and short, why were the plays so long developing?

Consistent trend in this offense. There’s a reason PFF graded the Saints dead last this season in open pass catchers.
I saw a PFF stat ranking offenses by pass catchers being considered open or wide open and the Saints were ranked dead last in the league at 36%.
James Hurst standing around lost as his guy goes right in

I think he had Smith, Cappa, Jensen, and Marpet his final year. 4 guys Brady won a SB with. Missing Wirfs at RT tho to be fair.

And they sucked. Brady was turning the ball over and being hit like never before until the bye week when he took control of things from Arians. Since then, it’s been the same formula of quick passes.
Unbelievable how many pussies already want to give up on DA, Carmichael, and Jameis after 2 games. I guess it isn’t surprising considering the same bunch kicked Brees to the curb after a HOF career here.

Yep, it was a rush situation, officials should've let them know the clock stopped.

The level of inconsistency with NFL officiating is truly unbelievable. It was only last season that Brian Flores had a timeout handed back to him after a referee told him that he didn’t need to use it.
