Get tested to see if you even have attention deficit as an adult. Sleep apnea and General anxiety or crappy sleep are way more common reasons to not be able to focus. If you have been successful in school. And life try to avoid asking the doctor for this stimulant. If it elevates your BP or races your heart - this is not good. I agree with the diet and exercise changes you have planned. The fungal laryngitis is a side effect of the corticosteroids for your eosinophilia esophagitis. Intermittent fasting is a method guaranteed to reduce inflammation. Also checking for sleep apnea is a great idea with blood pressure high at this young age. The whole 30 is a good suggestion too. There are also fasting mimicking diets from Prolon out of California if intermittent fasting does not help. Cutting carbs and processed foods while adding vegetables and fruits is great. Ditching sugar great too. All not easy though. Reducing red meat is also helpful but not likely to be popular on this site. There are inflammation markers your dr can check. Most with eosinophilia esophagitis have elevated c reactive protein that will normalize in fasting intermittently or with the fasting mimicking diet. Don’t eat after 7/8pm or before 12 noon. Then you are fasting 16 hrs. Try once a week and there are lots of guides for this online.
re: Resting heart rate of 53 and hypertension?
Posted by Dothan Tiger on 3/29/17 at 10:07 am
HR 53 is excellent. BB is essential if known CAD, heart attack post treatment and heart failure. It does not have to be your BP med if it's not agreeing with you. We stop BB frequently for lower heart rates and they usually cause fatigue but not commonly weight gain-unless weight up due to
heart failure. Does sound like BB not for you.....
Thyroid checked?
There are thin fit patients with great heart rates like yours who still have HTN and need meds. If you get a better BP cuff and check daily your doc will be able to make a better decision on what med you may need.
Make sure cuff size is right-bigger folks +200/250 lbs likely need larger cuff. I also prefer upper arm cuff and ask patients to skip the wrist monitors since office comparison always done with upper arm cuff. May not matter-just my preference last 16 years.
Hypertension is called "the silent killer" so you can feel great with high blood pressure. Super high blood pressure can cause stroke and heart failure symptoms....The healthy GOAL 110-130/60-85.
Great job watching your diet and walking daily. That is great! Try the Dash diet to tune up your routine. DASH stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. SEE YOUR DOC AND GIVE HIM OR HER THIS FEEDBACK. We have lots of choices for BP meds and this BB issue needs further discussion in your best interest and future health.

Service was the major setback for this fine dining facility. They seemed overwhelmed by the number of large parties in the house. Our party of 6 found the food was average and the service was subpar for this price range of restaurant (I will say that the manager noted our issues and service did improve). We got the rec from this board....does anyone know of staff/other problems they are having?

Miles does seem to get our guys well prepared for the bowl games (at least that's his track record). Whether it's Iowa or Penn State, I think we'll be ready and it will be a good game. I thought Ga Tech would smoke us last year.....
