I think it made a huge difference. MVB is not a great runner btw. But with this Oline, you need a quarterback that can get out of the rush and not run into it.

Yes, I’m aware…yet nobody asked Frank why. LSU press conferences…where journalism goes to die.

Frank wasn't calling the plays.
If he can lead this team to victories over Alabama and Oklahoma, that would be a clear statement: he's an SEC-caliber head coach. Considering all the roster gaps and off-field distractions, simply fielding a competitive squad would be impressive. At that point, he'd have checked every major box—strong recruiter, culturally aligned, and a proven winner. Unless there's another box I'm overlooking, he absolutely deserves serious consideration for the head coaching role.

A jet sweep, a screen, anything to get the man involved. With all that speed, it's not a bad idea to try to use it. I understand what his father is saying. The offense could use some new wrinkles dor sure.

Yeah, #7 for Texas was Caden Sterns. He was a 5* safety in high school. I remember thinking how sweet it was at the time that he didn't make the tackle, because at one point in his recruiting LSU was favored to land him.

He was actually an LSU commit until Texas flipped him. They were bragging that they were starting to spend more "resources" on recruiting.

I'm amazed at the WR talent to come through here.

And they are all Louisiana boys. Throw in Devonta Smith and I'm sure there's not a state that has as much production as Louisiana.

And hopefully Terrace Marshall gets it together with the Raiders next year after they draft a decent QB.
If they're not getting playing time, it is normally easier to understand. But the Sage Ryan transfer this year and Logan Diggs last year were examples of players being disowned by LSU.
Not to knock Bech but we had Nabers, Boutte, Jenkins, Thomas, and Lacey all in rotation. It was hard to find playing time for the guy. He even lined up at TE some. He made a good decision to get more reps.

Now that we know what we have in Weeks, the experiment of Perkins playing inside needs to end. Let him go back to doing what he’s good at.

Exactly!

Wow! Weeks and Perkins should lead to a top 20 defense! We'll definitely be able to stop running QBs.
He should be a pro bowler this year. He may not But his stats are top 3 in the conference.
2011. That team would be in the conversation of greatest college football team ever with the 2019 team and Miami!

My point exactly! Some want to go backwards when the writing is on the wall that it's going well pass just NIL

The schools don’t pay the players

Not yet. But those days are coming! Y'all mad now. Wait until there is revenue share in NCAA. And for all those who think that's impossible, how many people thought we would never see players getting paid.

For years, we heard the complaints about these guys being modern day slaves. Guess what? They still are.

I don't think you understand the definition of slave.

is that really not enough money to play football

No! And you do know you can go back to college and finish your degree??? Your Athletic years are shorter than your academic years.
