I disagree.
If you have ever been to West Africa, you would agree. The poorest blacks here generally live better than the richest there, at least in the countries I have been to, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, and Ghana.

It was the Croats in bed with the Nazis, not the Serbs.
Check your history, the Zbor was anti-semitic and pro Nazi. Milan Nedic, the Serbian prime minister, was loyal to and supported the Nazis til the end of the war

re: Is creole and Cajun the same thing?
Posted by geauxskeet on 1/11/25 at 4:16 pm
Creole has nothing to do with african heritage. A creole can have african (or indian) heritage but doesnt have to. It is the descendants of french and spanish settlers born in the new lands (mostly Louisiana and gulf areas) and predates the acadians.

Agreeing with Bellevue. Chris does a great job and their sausages are the best. Dowlings and Wildthang are also good.

Thanks for taking your daughter and for the story! That is so cool and I know you are a proud Dad. A story she will tell forever.
re: How many people here would buy and drink fresh raw milk?
Posted by geauxskeet on 11/26/24 at 10:52 pm
Never. Growing my dad, 2 degrees in dairy science and worked at dairy experiment stations, would never let us drink raw milk. Said only if you see the udder and milking parlor it comes out of, too many chances at bacteria and disease.

I just used Dana's golf cart to do a battery conversion and they did a great job
re: Chemin-A-Haut State Park… any one ever stay at cabins ?
Posted by geauxskeet on 8/30/24 at 9:16 am
It's been a few years so don't know about upgrades. It is a nice park, cabins are among the oldest in the state, some build by CCC/WPA. great for hiking, kayak, canoe, etc....

re: Silencer central?

I've used them twice - had my Banish 46 delivered today. No problems and i like my other suppressor - obviously haven't tried my new one yet. It was delivered within a week of approval by the feds.

not saying the rest is not true, but when one part isn't accurate you have to question the whole. I am looking at an email I received from John Deere regarding one of our skidders and there is nothing in the signature referring to any "preferred pronouns".
re: Is there a name for the section of Louisiana between the Mississippi and Pearl Rivers?
Posted by geauxskeet on 7/4/24 at 1:03 pm
That would be the West Florida Republic which declared its independence from Spain in Sept 1810 and annexed by the United States in Dec 1810. Also the origin of the "Texas" Lone Star.

All that tort reform passed a few years ago; how's that looking for your insurance premiums lately? Hook, line and sinker...
Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Obviously, you don't know that "tort reform" was so watered down at that time as to be useless. Anyone that deals with industry looking to locate in LA, commercial insurance, insurance companies or billboard lawyers knows why we can't have good things. We are constantly being left out of commercial investment because of our total lack of reform and litigious landscape in Louisiana. Great that Gordon is big NIL money, unfortunately it comes out of working people's pockets. Landry is better than what we had, but that bar was so low it doesnt take much.

No we didn't, it was gutted in session by the billboard lawyers and their friends (thanks Ryan Gatti). Same thing is happening this year. Some really good bills came through with vast majorities in the House, only to be gutted on the Senate side by the same group, including our Governor.
