Myself and a few guys are headed to the US Open on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We have the Garden Ticket package.
I've never been to Pinehurst...and recommendations? Advice?
Is parking a nightmare? Anything to do afterward?
Former player at LSUE…I think he was on the 2006 Championship team.
Became head coach at Carencro back in 2016. He was an assistant there for a few years.
Carencro was in and out of 4A/5A the last few years. This year, they were in the Select Divison.
Went 12-20 in a tough district (Sulphur, Barbe, Sam Houston). Lost in the second round of the playoffs to Jesuit.
Yeah. I have to say, being from Sulphur, most of us assumed it was going to be the assistant coach Conner Loyd.

Sulphur High New Baseball Coach

Sulphur High names Thomas Tillery Head Coach. Tillery was at Carencro.
Got a family reunion this weekend around Alexandria, LA. Was thinking about bringing the camper and staying at Indian Creek. My brother was considering bringing his boat if I could find a place for us to fish. Any fishing reports on Indian Creek??? I'm not familiar with it. Is there any place you would recommend other than Indian Creek?
Thanks for any help.
I'm in the same situation as you. I bookmarked this thread.
Thanks. That coaching staff was great.
Matt Viator - current head coach at ULM, former head coach at McNeese.
I was on the 98 Sulphur High team. Ruston beat us in the Quarter finals...we were undefeated and ranked number 2.

Marcus Trahan - starting tuning back at McNeese, played in the 1-AA National Championship game
Jerrel Zeno - Stating defense end at McNeese, played in the 1-AA National Championship game
Corey Warren - Signed and played linebacker with University Arkansas, later played and started for Jacksonville State University
Justin Taylor - Starting defensive lineman for ULL
Daniel Taylor - Starting defense end for ULL
JD Armelin - Signed with LSU
Mike LaBorde - Starting Center for McNeese, played in National Championship game
Jeff Breaux - Starting offensive lineman for Nichols State
Casey Daigle - First around Daft Pick in the MLB draft, Signed with Arizona Diamond Backs, married Jennie Finch
Dooley Prince - Signed with McNeese baseball, started and played for University of Texas in college World Series

Who was on that 98 Ruston team?

Refinance Question

Posted by HANSENBREATH on 5/31/17 at 10:00 am
First the Facts: House/Property/Financial
I purchased a shop house/barndominium, sitting on two acres last summer in South Sulphur (Carlyss). It was originally built in 2013. The total square footage of the barndo was 70x40. Inside was a one bedroom, one bath, living room, and a fully functioning kitchen. The living quarters only took up about 1,000 square feet leaving around 1,800 square foot of shop.
Since purchasing the barndo, I have added on an additional 1,400 square foot of living. Master bedroom, master bath, additional bedroom, utility room, and a office. Along with additional living quarters, I added a concrete three car-carport and concrete covered front porch all made of metal. I also filed permits and completed all inspections with the Police Jury to convert the barndo (originally it was classified as an Accessory Building) to a residential house. It is now classified as a 3/2 bath house.
I paid $150,000 for the barndo/two acres last summer. I currently owe around $128,000 (mortgage is with Sabine State Bank.) I paid cash for all my additions that I have made over the past year and I have no home equity loans or additional mortgages. During the purchase process, the home was appraised for $175,000 (that was before I made improvements.) I haven't had it appraised since improvements.
The Carlyss area is a fast growing-popular area largely due to the industrial boom in Southwest Louisiana.
Question:
Would it be a good idea to refinance? My current interest rate is fairly high...6%. I'm comfortable with the current monthly note but I'm looking to get a better interest rate. Also, certain banks and mortgage lenders don't finance metal structural house's. Just looking for a little advice.
Thanks!
I miss them...they always had the hottest girls. I was thankful to get their leftovers.
Does anyone remember the Miller twins??? They set all kinds of records over there. Damn, they ruled that town
I'm at a birthday party and I see one of my former neighbors. We catch up on family and friends then he tells me about his engineering firm he just opened. As of now its just him and one other person on the payroll. He then tells me that his wife quit her job as a teacher to stay home, keep his books, and she can home school the three kids. I asked him what was the purpose of home schooling the kids (11, 8, and 6 year old) and he said that it saves money and helps the business.
Why would home schooling help save money? (his kids went to public school before)
Is there some type of tax credit for home schooling?
Would his business be able to use the home schooling in tax filing?
I was just curious.

good ole LSUE doing it again

Posted by HANSENBREATH on 3/27/16 at 10:16 pm
For what its worth...currently LSUE is 32 - 0.
Wait for it..."what level juco are they?" "my tax dollars at waist..." "when did Louisiana get 6A High School teams?" :violin:
You have to admit...year in, year out...that's a solid program and the coach does a hell of a job getting those guys to the next level.

Big dogs of the SEC

So now that we clearly see that Texas, Oklahoma, and A&M are the reason the Big 12 will stay together, who would you say are the 3 most powerfull schools in the SEC as far as athletics go.
Dallas, Indy, N.O. in 2013 this would be crazy...!!!!!
