re: The Dynasty Warriors Series
Posted by saintsvolsfan on 8/15/09 at 1:55 am
I used to play all the dynasty warrior games. I stopped playing em after 5, but then all this talk about 6 made me jump back into it, but i was extremely disappointed. I still play ROTK 10, and i might look into the next one they release where you control individuals.
Overall, i hated the anime-ness of dynasty warriors, but it was the only game i found where you were actually an officer in a battle. I also liked the story of the era, though it must be heavily exaggerated. I downloaded Bladestorm (Medeval version of kessen) and decided to pass on that too.

The default speed is, and i hated it. but you can change it from slow to medium or fast. I switched it to fast and its like NCAA, much better imo.

A good season would be a full season where i see him helping us win. The stats are just the icing on the cake

False.
1. I dont like him as a player, but he is a good person and a great player, which i think is obvious.
2. Don't know what you mean by overachiever, the guy helps his team win
3.It's the media that thinks he is jesus... he has nothing to do with their love affair
and you know this isnt a homer statement... in fact, its an anti homer statement.
As for the question, he's a great college qb but i don't think he would work out too well in the pros. If there was no one better to take in a more immediate position need, i would take him. First i would look for a more pro style qb, though.
re: Who are the 4 most hated coaches in the SEC, in what order?
Posted by saintsvolsfan on 8/12/09 at 3:04 pm
I agree with what has been said about team hate reflecting onto the coach. For instance, because i live in louisiana, i dont like lsu more than i would had i lived in tennessee. That makes me think less positively of Miles. But now that i think about it, i dont dislike Les Miles, nor do i dislike LSU. It's just the dumb people i meet in louisiana (which every team has dumb fans.)
I don't like Saban anywhere he goes, but i respect him. I never knew enough about Spurrier to hate him, as i was too young to see him at Florida. If i wasn't a tennessee fan, i would probably hate kiffin just like everyone else, but i would still respect him because of his recruiting (i think.)

Absolutly, no argument there. Even most thought out rap lyrics are terrible (imo). It's all about how they're the biggest badass and they have the most jewels and bitches... crazy kids that are older than me these days
re: Fantasy Question
Posted by saintsvolsfan on 8/11/09 at 10:45 pm
Thanks for the help guys. I'm seeing it clearly now, although i found out my league also starts 2 QBs, so that would make it the most important position, it seems.
Fantasy Question
Posted by saintsvolsfan on 8/11/09 at 1:44 am
All these experts think its just crazy to get a qb high, and ive always wondered why. Looking at my league's 2008 totals, the top is filled with qbs, some hardly above average, while the top rusher, DeAngelo Williams, is #11. I don't know what the standard league rules are, but i usually play: all TD's=6, 20 pass yds=1, 10 rushing/rec yds=1
In that system the qb gets more points a pretty good majority of the time. In my opinion, a good running game would be about 100 yds, a TD or two. A good passing game would be about 250 yds, 2 or three TDs. Of course it depends on the player, but they had Drew Brees (#1 qb) ranked 15, while rbs like Matt Forte are in the top 10.
Can anyone help me understand this or give some other insight? I appreciate it
(Also, interesting side note, they had Pierre Thomas #24 and Reggie in the 40s. I thought that was weird as high as pierre was and low as reggie was. They also had Matt Ryan #83, which i thought was ridiculously low.)

okay, since its definitely a terrible thing that you see them doing other things than football every second of their life and that makes em a terrible team
re: Tennessee will win the SEC:
Posted by saintsvolsfan on 8/11/09 at 12:00 am
First of all, I wouldn't blame phil for the first bowl game miss, i would blame all those injuries.Every single time we have a down year we always come back to our former glory the next year. I'm not saying we'll beat florida or win the SEC, I'm just saying a down year doesnt mean we suck at life and will never be the same. As for the question, i really cant tell you. no one, no matter how they praise or flame, knows how his career is gonna turn out.

re: Tiki Barber averaged 2,054 yards...

I bet he can do it at some point, but if i were him id focus on staying healthy first and going for a lower goal. Then he can build his way up to that.
re: PLayers and coaches you love to hate
Posted by saintsvolsfan on 8/10/09 at 11:34 pm
I don't really hate tebow, but at the same time i do... i dont like him as a football player for some reason. its not because of florida because i loved percy harvin, but theres something about him. I know one of the reasons is because the media loved the 'jump pass' and worshipped him every time he did it when i thought it was stupid and didnt change anything... anyways, the coach is probably Saban. I don't really hate any player in the SEC.
re: NCAA -> Madden Rollover
Posted by saintsvolsfan on 8/10/09 at 11:28 pm
I'm keeping ncaa and getting madden. I was actually very pleased with ncaa. Sure, they put a lot of time into features i think are stupid instead of making necessary improvements, but overall i think its improved and better.
