re: Watching PGA on courses you've played

I stood on the marker this past September. I agree, seeing that in person make it so much more impressive. That is not an easy shot. With the crazy winds there, I can definitely see if possible though. Tough track, you have to miss in the right spot on some holes!...

Thanks. Hopefully I can keep the x flex in the bag for a few more years. Turning 40 this year, but still swinging it pretty hard. Enjoying it while I can!...

Was like $750-800 ea I believe, included food/drink. I had free masters tickets so I wasn’t as worried about splurging. Definitely wasn’t worth that. In hindsight August CC wanted 3600 a tee time.

Got to play it this year the Saturday before we went to the final round at the Masters. The weather absolutely sucked but the course was top notch. Would love to play there again on a normal day where it isn’t pouring rain and 41 degrees. Good was great in the lodge as well. ...
re: What's your go-to cocktail?
Posted by Bigryno7 on 12/20/23 at 7:13 pm
Lately my go to cocktail is a Last Word. Cant get enough of them. However, it all depends on my mood for the rest:
Old Fashioned
Sazerac
Margarita
Ranch Water
Gin and Tonic
Manhattan
I honestly enjoy the classics and love a good cocktail bar that does the classics well.

re: Jambalaya pot burner regulator hose

Our regulator on our 10 gallon pot broke and it was NOT easy to find one in Nashville. I took for granted all the stuff the stores just keep in LA. I ended up ordering a extra one so I will always have a spare. ...
re: Switching balls in winter
Posted by Bigryno7 on 11/29/23 at 8:03 pm
I switch in the fall winter to a ProV1 yellow. Much easier to see my ball in the leaves. Keep a ball in your pocket and switch it out so youre hitting a warm ball. Only for regular fun play, not tournament obviously.

I agree. Find the one that feels best. I always find the one that feels best that day, then give it a few days and come back to see if the magic is still there. It usually isn't. Ive tried a few over the past few years. Just put my White Hot XG back in the bag which is like 15 years old and have bee...

I was told that the French spoken in South Louisiana was much more like Old World French. It never had the chance to evolve like it did in France, thus the reason it sounds so much more harsh and different. I had this conversation with a doctor of mine. His father used to get sent down to South LA t...

re: It’s time to get fitted for some new irons. Anyone have any advice?
Posted by Bigryno7 on 9/15/23 at 8:14 pm
I would advise checking Titleist website and seeing if there is a rep doing fittings in your area any time soon. The cost is $100. If you buy clubs, that rolls into the iron cost. You get to hit off grass and they have way more Titleist options to let you try. I did one recently, it was a great expe...

re: What is the best flavor of sunflower seeds?

Chinook Sunflower Seeds--they are all good. Wayyyyy less sodium so they dont destroy your mouth.
The Hatch Chili is my Favorite though.

re: Anyone quit smoking cigarettes?

I read the book. It helped that I was ready after about 10 tries quitting. Find a life event or reason to quit. Stick with it. The first 3 weeks are the hardest, but after that it gets easier.
I’ve had a few here and there while drinking, but have never had the urge to start back. Its a disgusting...
