re: Who is Next on Mound

Has to be Shores in case we need Evans to start Game 3.
3 run lead but playing Def like a tie game
Posted by FlyingTiger06 on 6/8/25 at 9:54 pm
Up three, but we are fricking around trying to pick off the runner at first. Bad throw gets him to second. Then routine ground ball to SS and instead of taking the definite out at 1st we try to get the lead runner at third, but the throw is high and he gets in under the tag. Now we sit 1st and 3rd with nobody out. Just not smart baseball.

delete please...another thread posted while I was typing.
re: Incredibly surprised they are not breaking up Evan’s rhythm

Their catcher tried. He watched the pitch clock until it hit 10 and then turned to face Evans. That didn't work either.

bullshite scoring. There wasn’t even even a close play at the plate with the bobble.

Hell, just invite a bunch of students to go to the batting cage with them. I'm sure you could find enough baws in the student body that played decent enough in HS to give those bats a wring out.

Dude, this movie was set in the present, not the 1980s. Like I said, a single B-2 with a single MOP would have accomplished this mission, but there's no theatrics in that.

Airplanes aerodynamic profile allows for a steeper pull inverted than pushing the stick over forward as they crest a peak.
Very familiar with how aerodynamics work. I'm not questioning the aerodynamics, just the foolishness of needing to do such a mission.

Because the AF is too infatuated with fighter pilots. Fighter pilots have been ruling the roost in the AF since the late 80s and it's why the AF is in a death spiral right now. Way short on pilots (and other aircrew), not enough aircraft to really accomplish the mission, aircraft availability and mission capable rates of the entire fleet are in the toilet, years behind in strike weapon development, and a huge imbalance in long range strike capability (to include tankers to extend aircraft range) versus short range capabilities. That's fine for fighting 3rd world shitholes like Afghanistan and Iraq where we can base in their backyard. But against China who can reign 1,000s of surface to surface missiles on our bases in the Pacific each day, that is a path to disaster.
But no one cares because the fighter pilots are cool and have to know what's right. Just like with the entire premise of the need for F-18s in Top Gun: Maverick. Having to do a low-level penetration through that "canyon" and then the ridiculous Laser Guided Bomb (LGB) delivery was completely unnecessary. That mission could have been completed by a single B-2 bomber with the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP). But as we say, fighters and fighter pilots make great movies...bombers and bomber crews win wars.

I don’t get that at all. Milam was only about 3 steps around third when the ball got to the cutoff man. He was out by a mile.

Here's one from Reddit.
Sage Ryan CFB '25
Posted by FlyingTiger06 on 4/22/25 at 7:42 am
Anyone else notice that Sage Ryan doesn't have a facemask on his helmet in EA Sports' College Football 25 for PS5? He's the only player I've seen in the entire game that is like that and it wasn't just a one time glitch. Every time he shows up, there's no facemask. Oh, and that bastard gets flagged very often for roughing the punter even when I've got the return on and not a block.

Agreed
Ump squeezed him

Even the announcer was complaining. Anderson made a mistake with that 3-2 curveball that stayed up, but he shouldn’t have even been in that situation.

And since our offense has gone into a shell and their reliever is eating up innings instead of making them eat further into their bullpen.

Bad decision made worse by a bad bunt. Their pitchers were on the ropes and we bailed them out. We had gotten the lead, no reason to play small ball there.
re: Things you got suspended for in elementary or middle school
Posted by FlyingTiger06 on 3/7/25 at 3:48 pm
None in elementary or middle school, but once during senior year of high school. Some buddies and I checked out of school to go "research our senior project at the SLU Library." What we really did was get drunk and go frick around Hammond Square Mall with the intent to get back to school in time for me to attend baseball practice. Everything was fine until one of my friends couldn't contain himself and starts acting a complete fool during the recess before 5th period. Once he was busted, they hit all of us who checked out with him. 2 day suspension which made me miss the first round of baseball playoffs, but we got our arse handed to us anyway. Dad worked offshore, so I had to wait several days before catching that arse whooping. As someone else pointed out, the waiting was definitely worse and took several days not just hours.
re: Madison Brooks Rape Trial- Its been over 2 years

That's not the video I'm talking about because that's still just an accusation that she called him gay because he wouldn't have sex with her. Early in this thread there was a video that shows her calling him gay and saying to let her out of the vehicle. But that video didn't show what led her to make those statements.

That may be fair for your statement, but I've seen throughout this thread others saying it is a definite that she called him a fig for not jumping on the train. I had asked for a video of that a few pages back but it probably got consumed by all the back and forth between you, ell, and Chad.
