I love how UK fans always bring up Wyoming when Fulmer's Last Stand at the Rose Bowl is a better insult. It hurts when you're bitchslapped by reality.

And actually, the best insult of all would be to actually beat the team you are insulting. But that's neither here nor there.

I'm a Vandy fan (as long as they aren't playing UT). My family is very split between Vandy and UT. I've lived in Nashville my entire life, and we had Vandy season tickets.

It was nice to get the bowl last year, just a shame they couldn't even leave the city.

I'm on my phone, so I hope this text isn't all jumbled. Mike, I'm not sure what board you're talking about, but the one I was referring to is Wildcat Nation. That board's pretty dead, so I assume it's not the same one. I don't frequent UK boards so I'm not hip to the scene. Yes, VolNation sucks. With the large membership base, it had the potential to be a great place, but it's not. That's why I'm here at this board, and you'll probably see more and more UT fans at this place. If I had the time and resources, I'd create my own no-holds-barred UT board (complete with"Kiff 4 Eva" (for the homers) and "Hold Me, LuLu" (for the negavols) subforums), but oh well.

Earlier this year on a UK message board I read a poster's suggestion that either a statute should be erected of Rich Brooks or the field should be renamed in his honor for the success he has brought to the program. I thought it was a joke at first, but I don't believe it was. It actually had some support from other posters.

There's a reduction, but it's not a huge one. Vol Navy has a point about the seat reductions. They removed some of the seats to create the ridiculously overpriced "Tennessee Terrace," which can be yours for a seasonal $10,000 donation (or some insane number like that) per seat.

I also don't think the University won over anyone with the marketing campaign either. The letters they mailed out informing the ticket holders that their section would be converted and giving them the option to "buy in" was mailed out at the beginning of the season. Most people received that letter in the days following the UCLA game.

Tyson Gay is one heck of an athlete. It was a shame to see him not do so well in the 100 m at the Olympics. That hamstring had to still be bothering him. However, the entire US Track team was a disgrace in Beijing. Maybe next time they'll actually practice the relays as a team before race time (no joke).

Nah, I think you have to put in perspective that the homers (of any team/sport) are going to be the most outspoken on message boards and in real life just because they feel they have something to prove. Am I a Kiffin fan? I don't know. I will say that from a personality aspect at this point in his career, he irritates the Hell out of me.
