Why does everyone want to be a long snapper/ punter/ middle reliever/ back up QB?!?!??

You have the chance to be an elite player, and people want to collect $2M/yr to be an afterthought?!?! Way to shoot for the stars
1971. I was a ninth grader in the Virgin Islands. I read a Sports Illustrated article about the Alabama-LSU game (we lost), but there was something that hit me in my soul. I graduated from LSU in 1979.

he was expecting to open the playbook. . .
deep pass = opening the playbook?

weve been through 3 years of "not opening the play" against bad teams. isnt it possible there just isnt much of a playbook?
Angry Llama is right. We can either step up and continually set high standards or we can take some washed-up coach and hope to go to the Cotton Bowl every year.

Lane Kiffin was a very hot, up and coming assistant before becoming a head coach
he was hired by AL DAVIS and was a 10th choice. he flamed from the pros only to be hired at tennessee b/c of his good recruiting and legendary father as a package deal. i dont think he fits the mold of going from big time coordinator straight to upper level head coaching job

So was Ed Orgeron
he was never a coordinator. he was hired at ole piss b/c of his recruiting prowess

Mike Lockslley
was never on this level as an elite coordinator.

IMO Pelini can stay right where he's at.... SEC offenses had solved his defensive scheme his last two years here
i liked Pelini when he was here. my hesitation of him coming back here stems from our 07 D going from QB killers to complete awful from start to finish of that season. i would love to know his reason for the complete collapse of the D that year.

that is what I said, he needs the qb. Mustain is a bust and Tulsa didn't win shite, what is your point?
who was the QB at tulsa? a no namer. Malzahn was their offensive coordinator- not the head coach. its not his fault the D blew nut sack. the point is his offenses always piles up the yards and points.

think auburn's offense with LSU's defense. we'd never lose a game!

LSU Big - by 24. Penn State can't handle the speed of our defense and our offense is due for a big game. Book it.

A head coach in the top 5 of salary and with top 10 recruiting classes should consistently produce a high powered & well coached team. Something we have not seen since 2007.

match the greatness that is Auburn
priceless!! :rotflmao:

What about playing 10 SEC games
if we are adding SEC games, we might as well go the whole way and make it a round robin 11.

also, 10 SEC games means an extra 12 loses within the SEC making it near impossible to get a team into the national championship.
