Why do you go to those but not mens basketball?
I could list a few for you:
1) The fan experience is tailored to keep things moving and keep crowd entertained during timeouts
2) Those coaches make themselves available to the public and promote their teams to drive interest
3) The cost to attend is cheap, especially for a family
4) They win...

Me and my 7 year old are thru 1-5 over the past 2 months, in order. Glued to the screen for 1-4, during five he kept asking when was Rocky going to fight.
Watch them in order…it’s the best way

re: How we feeling against USC?

If the new NCAA game is any indication:
Opening series vs USC
1) block in back on kick return
2) false start on first play
3) Nuss Int near mid field
4) force 3 and 11….Greg Penn burned by TE for 37 yard TD
Doesn’t bode well and clearly it’s a video game. I just thought how the way it transpired seems like a way LSU could open the game based on past two openers.

Jay Clark might have something to say about it...his arrival as an assistant to LSU is what took the gym program to a whole other level with the amount of quality recruits he was bringing in that the program lacked previously.
Since his arrival in 2013
1 Natty
3 Four on the Floor (playing for natty)
5 Super Six (prior to Four on the Floor, this was the final 6 to meet for Natty)
11 NCAA Tournament (all 11 years)
4 Conference Titles (1 other in program history)
6 Gymnasts to win Individual Nattys
Takes talent to do that...

It makes sense to hire Godwin. It doesn't make sense to need to smokescreen Mainieri to hire him
Have you ever followed a coaching search? There’s always a smokescreen…always.

This doesn't make sense.
Why? Cliff is a former assistant…maybe they have the same agent, maybe not…but Paul’s name can be coverage to let Cliff work out the negotiating while everyone runs down the Maineri angle.
Totally makes sense.

I’d bet Maineri is coverage to let them go after Cliff Godwin at ECU.
re: Any good plumber recommendations for BR??
Posted by LSUDeuce2 on 5/7/24 at 8:14 pm
I’ve used Central Plumbing twice. Busted shower pipe on interior wall and busted pipe outside coming off water main. Both times they came out same day as phone call with no emergency charge. Both times they had the parts in stock, so both items were fixed same day.

re: Anyone ever do lasik?

Did it 7 years ago...do not regret it at all. Surgery was super easy for me, just lay there. The only negative is when you wake up every day you have dry eyes, but blink a few times and all set. That is a small price to pay for not having to deal with glasses and/or contacts. I had actually become allergic to certain contact lens material and it was becoming very aggravating. 7 years in and my sight has remained great. DO IT!

At least yours puts it in the can. My wife’s side of the family can’t even do that. Hate this time of year.
re: Mystery solved: How much is a Caniac in Times Square?

I was just in NYC last weekend. Family of 4 splitting one kids meal and one entree with an appetizer and 4 drinks was $80…this was at a place called Bills Burger and Bar.
Soft drinks alone were $5 a piece…every single place we ate.
The cheapest meal was a pizza place near Columbus circle where we split a 2 foot pizza (2 families of 4) and then 8 soft drinks was $64 all together. Pizza was $24 and drinks were $40.

This might be the best post on here in a very long time. This is exactly why we are at where we are on defense.
Now don’t get me wrong, it’s BKs job to get it fixed and that needs to start with a coach that can coach/scheme to the talent on the roster.

re: House’s defense looked competent last year?

What I think people forget...
Last year we took Bernard-Converse who was the best DB in the Big 12...
This year we took Harris who was the best parking garage drifter in College station...
There in lies the difference.
