Audio Problems with Video Baby Monitor

Posted by tad1015 on 11/20/15 at 10:47 pm
Just bought an Infant Optics video baby monitor with a second camera so I can see my 2 kids in their separate rooms. The problem is that when I set it to auto-scan between the 2 cameras so we can hear both of them while we sleep, the background sound coming from the 2 cameras is drastically different. When it switches from camera 1 to camera 2 there's a very abrupt increase in volume and change in sound, and this makes it impossible for us to sleep with it while scanning between cameras.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Wifi interference maybe (the camera operates on 2.4 ghz, same as my router)? This is the second video monitor brand I've tried and I've had the same exact problem with both.

Phew. You really need/needed to try to get a #1 wr for one of those rb's. It's a waste having either on the bench.

I've been trying but so far no one will give me anything better than Antonio Brown or Torey Smith.

Reggie. You can't start both?

I have Jamaal Charles and LeSean McCoy ahead of them.

Reggie seems to be the consensus but I've got Stafford too and it's going to be raining like all hell in Pittsburgh, so I'm thinking it might be good to hedge a bit with Knowshon so I'm not relying so heavily on the Lions.

I'd go with Reggie. How in the hell are both of these guys flex options for you?

10 team league, but I went heavy on RB's in the early rounds of the draft and got Jamaal Charles, LeSean McCoy, and Reggie Bush early and like most I got lucky on Knowshon with a late pick.

Unfortunately I'm sitting at 5-5 due to some inconsistent WR play and a lot of bad luck so this is a must win for me.

Reggie Bush or Knowshon?

Who you got for a flex?

I'm leaning towards Knowshon because I have Stafford as well and I don't want to put too many chips on Detroit, but it's a tough call with Knowshon against the Chiefs D.

re: Bama players still in denial.

What pisses me off the most is hearing about how they're the better team because if they hadn't missed 4 field goals they would have won, as if field goals should be automatic. The fact of the matter is that field goals are not automatic, especially in college, and if you have a shitty kicker you are inevitably going to lose some close games. When teams like LSU and Alabama play each other, they need to be good in not only offense and defense, but special teams too, and I think people tend to greatly overlook this. In my opinion, LSU and Bama are more or less equal on offense and defense, but Bama's special teams is not even close to being on the same level as LSU's, and when you go 2 for 6 on field goals, it means that that part of your team is not good, bottom line. That is why they lost, and that is why LSU is a better, more complete team.

Pass at 1:13 is special

I just re-watched the 2008 Auburn highlights and he had several throws that were really nice. He put that last TD pass to Lafell in literally the only place where the Auburn DB couldn't touch it.

I'm telling you, if we can get the run game going early on against Oregon and then mix in some play-action so he has time to set his feet and step into his throws (like at 5:30 in the video), he could be a real threat because he has all kinds of accuracy and a cannon to go with it.

drexel i will be in paris for oregon game. seems like this moosehead will be closed.. will the bar remain open for the game

Not sure about The Moosehead, but last year I asked The Great Canadian if they'd stay open for me to watch an LSU game that started at 2 AM Paris time and they told me that if I brought enough people with me that they'd stay open. Not sure if you'll have a group with you, but if you can make it worth their while to stay open I think they will.
I think on average the MLS would be much higher ranked than most people think. The problem is that most leagues in Europe have a few good teams that are unbelievably good, so they make the rest of the league look really good by default. I think the Spanish league is a perfect example. If you remove the top few teams (Real Madrid, Barcelona, and maybe Valencia and Villareal), all the sudden the league doesn't look nearly as strong. In MLS we have salary caps, so generally the best teams are much closer in quality to the worst teams.

If you threw out the top 4 teams from each big league in Europe and ranked them against MLS, I think it would be much more respectable. Maybe it would look something like this:

1. English Premier League
2. Spanish La Liga
3. Italian Serie A
4. German Bundesliga
5. MLS
6. French Ligue 1
7. Dutch Eredivisie
8. Portugese Premeira Liga
9. Greek League
10. Scottish Premier League

I'm not an expert on the smaller European leagues so maybe I'm a bit off, but I think you get my point. I also think that an MLS team could survive (and by survive I mean not be relegated) in Ligue 1, Eredivisie, SPL, and all the other lower tier European leagues.

The Geico Caveman has been trash all season. The only time he could do something was against that abomination the Saints call a defense.

From someone who had him on his fantasy team this year, I agree 100%. He was a total bum. He had games where he literally rushed for fewer than 10 yards (and as a starter no less), but he makes one amazing run against the Saints and now everyone is wishing we had scooped him up from Buffalo. Looking back on it I don't think it would have been a bad move considering all the injuries, but I think he would have only been a slight upgrade from JJ at best. He's just not very good.
I'm not delusional enough to think that I would have the same complaint if it worked out in the Saints favor this year, but I think from an unbiased standpoint it just makes no sense. They should just take the 4 division winners and the 2 playoff teams and seed the 6 teams based on their record only.
quote:

I'm going to laugh if Saints have the second best record in the nfc but are the five seed

In my opinion this is the most ridiculous rule in all of sports. Even if Chicago finishes with a worse record than the Saints, they still get the 2 seed (and a first round bye) because they won their division. Not to mention, a team with a losing record like Seattle or St. Louis gets a higher seed than the Saints and home field advantage because they won the most god-awful division in all of professional sports. It makes absolutely no sense to me at all.
I don't want to throw out the result. As of now, there is no result because it kicked me off and he exited the game before it was finished. I was beating the shite out of him. I want to give myself a win without having to play another game. Is there a way to do this?
I was playing a guy in my NCAA 2010 online dynasty last night and I was up 49-14 with 2 minutes left in the 4th when the connection was lost. It asked him if he wanted to finish against the computer and he said "no", thinking it would sim it from there. It, of course, did not sim it and now we have to play the game again.

Does anyone know if there's a way for me to use my commish powers to force a result? This is a pretty big game and I don't want to play it again.

re: TCU and Boise to Big 12

On The Herd one day he was saying that major conferences won't take Boise St. because they don't meet the minimum academic requirements for acceptance into the conference and/or they're not a research institute. I can't remember exactly how it was said, but it was something along those lines, and if that's true, it leads me to believe that Boise St. will be forever trapped in second-tier conference purgatory.
quote:

Honestly, I think the press fricked this up and they know it.

So they fricked it up and they continue to report and bring forth new information in the hopes that eventually they'll find something that's true? Why would they keep pushing something that they know is a lie?
quote:

There's just too many unnamed sources. It's a smear campaign.

Why though? Because he chose Auburn over Miss State? It just makes zero sense to me. These aren't junior high girls who are pissed at each other so they make up random stuff to make the other one look like an a-hole. These are grown men that run multi-million dollar businesses. Think about how much would Miss State would have to lose if they were literally just making this up.
quote:

Until I hear it from sources outside the Miss St Athletic Department, I will be skeptical.

So you think they just decided to make this all up? To my knowledge, no one from Miss State has denied any of this.
I'm not saying that I think Cam did something shady, and I'm not saying Cecil did something shady, but what I am saying is that I definitely think SOMEONE (Auburn, Cam, Cecil, or all of the above) did something shady during his recruitment. There's far too much smoke for their not to be a fire, and I refuse to believe that people have just started to make shite up in order to derail Auburn's season or Cam's Heisman campaign.

Is there anyone out there that actually thinks that both Auburn and the Newton's are 100% clean on this? If so, I'd love to hear the argument.
