It’s confusing but your total contributions into your 401k plan for 2025 is $23,500 plus another $7,500 if over age 50.
A 401k is not split between a Roth 401k and regular 401k. You only have one plan. How that contribution is coded such as pre tax or Roth is up to you but the combined limit is $31,000 together.

There is no income limit on making Roth 401k contributions. You can directly contribute $23,500 to your Roth 401k and an additional $7,500 in Roth 401k catch up contributions. Starting in 2026 you can also elect your company match as a Roth based contribution.
In addition to this your backdoor Roth conversions from Traditional IRA to Roth IRA do not count against your annual contribution limit because it’s not a contribution. You can convert $100,000 this year into a Roth and still max out your 401k with Roth contributions

Does anybody read the Bible anymore?? It goes back to Abraham.
God promised a child to Sarah in her old age, however the promise was not fulfilled for 25 years. Sarah became impatient and suggested that Abraham sleep with her servant Hagar.
Hagar gives birth to Abraham's oldest child, Ishmael. Ultimately Ishmael, and his mother Hagar, are banished from the community after Ishmael is found making fun of Isaac on the day of his weening.
Ishmael's descendent is Muhammad who as you know founded the Muslim religion.
Isaac was one of the great Fathers of the Jewish religion and Jesus is counted as one of his descendants.
The descendants of Isaac and Ishmael have been fighting each other literally since the days of Jacob as both sides look at Abraham as their Father. The promised land was originally given to Abraham, therefore both sides believe they have a claim on the land.
And all of this started because Sarah told Abraham to sleep with her servant instead of trusting God to fulfill His promise.

And another excerpt:
Commentary - Who Buys A Child?
I've asked myself again and again.
Who are these men, and sometimes women, who lust after a child?
How can there be each and every year so many men in our country who create the demand for at least 100,000 children in the United States alone ... children being used night after night by men beyond number?
The sheer volume is staggering.
This entire gigantic industry - populated by pimps and facilitators, greased by marketing and millions of dollars - all comes down to one man: the individual man who wants to have sex, or to fantasize about having sex, with a girl or a boy.
What destroyed the moral compass in so many individuals to create such a massive demand? Why is it tolerated in our culture? Where is the feeling of terror, of horror, if there are so many men around us who actually want to have sex with our children?
We should all be asking these questions. And we should be working for change. Because for all of our organization's fighting against it, for all of Shared Hope's work saving and restoring the lives of victims, for all our crafting of new legislation and striving to influence our criminal system - after a decade of continuous, intensive labor - the tragedy goes on.
Where something is wanted, for a price, someone will find a way to provide it.
It's time to stop the demand.

You should all read ‘Renting Lacy’ and open your eyes to how terrible and disgusting trafficking of minors for sex is in the United States.
While Slow Flo wants to debate definitions the truth is close to 100,000 children are trafficked inside the US. These are not kids from other countries. These are our children. It’s become cheaper to traffic them within their own country then somewhere else.
What’s most disgusting is the reason this has become such a problem is because the demand exists for it. This guy from Alabama did not get entrapped in anything. The POS was looking to rape a child and got caught!
Most of the prostitutes start as early as 11-12. Not some. Most.
From the book:
Commentary - How Does It Happen?
"They like what they do. "
"They don't want to work real jobs. They make so much more money."
"They chose it.
"They could leave it if they wanted to."
"There are places they can go for help."
These are some of the many comments I hear concerning prostituted women. But according to the U.S. Department of Justice, the average age of entry into prostitution is 12 to 14 and a child this young is ill-equipped to make adult decisions.
Certainly many of the girls I've met believe they chose the life of a prostitute, though in some cases they started at 11 or 12 years of age. They insist they made their own choice, although it's clear they were actually not choosing to be used, sold, and abused.
They say it was their decision to exist in this world - yet clearly it's a world where they've been gang-raped, sodomized, repeatedly beaten, raped with objects, threatened, strangled, tortured, dehumanized, burned with cigarettes, videotaped, humiliated.
The reason an 11 year old child is sold into a life of prostitution inside the US is because of the DEMAND for the ‘product’
Think about that

Great response in the original post! Agree completely that if Hitler had a genuine relationship with Christ then hatred would not be possible. It is written that the fruits of the spirit are love, patience, kindness, joy and peace. These fruits become evident in our daily walk when we are rooted in faith of Jesus Christ!

You have one of two possible answers for the origin of the universe.
1. The universe before existed, before anything existed, created itself and all life within it.
2. The universe has a cause or creator.
To side with the first possibility you have to dig deep into your bag of fictional make pretend physics to even attempt to explain how from the void of absolute nothingness the universe decided to create itself. Again before the universe was even a thing.
The second is grounded in scientific theory and numerous logical arguments. It’s cause and effect just like everything else in the natural universe. The Big Bang theory supports the Kalam cosmological argument.
It’s not hard bass tiger. What makes it difficult for people is when you exclude God as a possibility then you find yourself trying to explain it using laughably stupid alternatives

Not bad Thunderbird!
I’d adjust your SWR to 4%. Also need to factor in pre vs after tax funding and assumed tax rates
I think your SSI will be higher than your projection but not a bad assumption. Remember that married couples will get a better benefit

Your monthly budget in retirement is what determines everything about how/when you can retire. It’s solving for positive cash flow without working.
If you do not have a written budget then you can’t answer whether or not you are ready to retire.
Looking at average assets per state is completely meaningless. Has 0.0 value. Not trying to be ugly as that is how most people approach this question. But assets are irrelevant until you have a budget number for expenses. Then you subtract lifetime income streams such as Social Security or pensions. The remainder tells you the number you need your investments to pay you each month. That number is going to be different for everyone

even Christian morality has evolved over the last 100 years
or, to make squid hunt happy, Christian application has evolved over the last 100 years
You may be over generalizing here to make your point, but I understand what you are trying to say.
Again, I’ll point out that the Lord God does not change. Man and Society does.
Therefore, if morality has shifted, even within the church then it begs the question of whether or not they are being led by society or led by God.
I would argue that the vast majority of churches are led by God. Those that are not led by God will be the ones that die out. Why? Because Jesus commanded His disciples to feed His people. Scripture and following His commands is how that happens, not following society.
quote:
Honestly all the retards that don’t realize that Man is the primary cause of world conflict is just amazing
Fixed it for you
quote:
Yes...
and it wasn't implied, it was pretty clearly stated as such
Then your answer clearly depends on whether or not someone is following God or following society don’t you think?
quote:
Religions have stood the test of time because they allow large numbers of humans to work together productively.
Christianity is not a religion, it’s a relationship. Perhaps it’s stood the test of time because it’s founder literally created the concept of time :-)
Which one of God’s scriptures, laws or commandments have changed in the last 100 years?
Your question implies more about man and society than it does about God
Your question implies more about man and society than it does about God
What interpretations have changed? Can you cite something specific? Happy to have that conversation

If we are no longer united under a shared religious myth
What myth? I ask this with genuine interest
