Seems like Miami figured out the formula for the nil era
Miami hasn't figured anything out. It's simply that times have changed and Miami's formula for the past 50 years is now LEGAL and all the blow, cash, hookers, and sheep are legit recruiting.

Better to invest in NIL than to spend this kind of money on the stadium. Not smart IMO
Most sane fans would agree with you there. Now that it's legal to pay players, and there hasn't been a salary cap instituted yet like the NFL has, the sky is the limit.
Luckily for Florida, the BEST thing that the new coach has done so far that helps the fanbase accept him is the fact that his first job on arriving in town after he secured the few ultracritical players from transferring out was to go around and interview all of the big time boosters and make it plain that they had to cough up more for NIL as everything else was pointless if you aren't competing with the NIL offers of the other teams.
That seems to have borne some fruit as this coach is sitting on the current # 4 or 5 recruiting class, which Florida hasn't had in nearly 20 years.
Alas it has to be a balance of paying the players who make the sport work fundamentally, and paying the spectators who are FUNDING the whole game and don't want to sit on rusty bleachers from the 60's when watching. You have to strike that balance as without one or the other, you end up with nothing.

Wow. Remember when Jerry World was built for $1B and everyone was losing their mind at the cost. Then Kronke built the stadium in LA for $5B. Now Florida gets to polish a turd for $1.4B and be proud of it. Could build an entirely new stadium in a different location for that cost. I'm glad LSU did all of their renovations years ago at a fraction of the cost. Hell, Kyle field was basically renovated and added onto like this for less than $500MM. Miami renovated their stadium and added a roof over the seats for $350MM. What are you doing, Gators?
Miami doesn't have a stadium. They rent the bottom 2 rows of seats at the local NFL stadium for their "home" games which is about 45 minutes from campus, as if it were an Air BnB.
2 rows was probably a row too many given the size of the Hurricane fanbase.

DIDN'T THINK YOU COULD DO THAT MUCH IMPROVEMENT TO A DUMP
That's rich coming from a fan of the school whose stadium has been officially condemned by the state structural engineers but UT just continues to kick the can down the road and put off any repairs. That was in the 1980's and here we are 45 years later, and UT still hasn't spent any money to repair the structural flaws in neyland stadium.
Last time I checked, no other SEC school uses a building that is structurally condemned as their stadium but Tennessee.
