They remind me quite a lot of my girlfriend in high school, also a twin. In a statistical anomaly, more than one-fifth of my graduating class of 46 were twins - ten, and the six girls were all very pretty. Caused a considerable amount of confusion among both the students and the faculty. I couldn't tell most of them apart until I was a senior, and then it took close observation.

Makes me recall a time when we were parked in a little used lane in the woods when a farmer on a tractor turned into it. We had to hop back over into the front seat and drive away in the nude. Good thing no local yokel deputies were out and about. Wouldn't have been laughing so hard.

Serious response: Make special days to remember. Celebrate their milestones. Take a photo (or short video these days), but do not hold up your phone for little Braxxton's every at bat. I put snapshots of my daughter on the refrigerator when she learned to ride a bike, sang on tv, jumped a half-ton horse over a fence, and beat a mascot around the bases at a pro baseball game to win a t-shirt. Those little things make memories you can cherish with them after their careers take them several thousand miles away. Moments of time-travel.

Not discounting prayers at all, but the best thing any of us can do to help our friends, neighbors and fellow humans with this fight is to join the Bone Marrow Donor registry or donate funds for stem cell donations and research.

One of my girlfriend's best friends at LSU was an Italian-American coed who was a live ringer for Gina Lollobrigida, to the extent that she could hardly eat a meal in public without people approaching her to remark on the resemblance. Somehow it never dawned on me until now that she may very well have been named after the famous star. I must have been clueless, but I did know that she was extraordinarily beautiful.

Trivia: Lollobrigida's performance in The World's Most Beautiful Woman (also known as Beautiful But Dangerous, 1955) led to her receiving the first David di Donatello Award for Best Actress. In this movie Lollobrigida played Italian soprano Lina Cavalieri and sang all the songs in the movie, including arias from Puccini's opera, Tosca, in her own voice.

Again, not necessarily best in history, but Shut Up and Kiss Me is damn good harmonizing the BeeGees, which might be a more difficult register for male singers. Bitsy (Beatrice) and Giulia harmonize exceptionally well and can also do Dancing Queen better than Abba. The amazing part is that they say that in three hours they can learn a song in English (an acquired language), decide who is going to sing which parts and record it, and shoot the video. Three hours from start to finish.
