I actually think Jeff Landry is the reason Lane is coming. All the talk about Lane winning a few nattys here then bolting for the nfl—I disagree. I think he and Jeff Landry are exactly alike in terms of personality and lane really likes him. I think lane wants to win a few nattys then run for governor himself, sort of like a Tubbervillie or Tressell. I think he has political aspirations.
And for those who’ve tried all four, which is best?
That’ll be like when Kramer boycotted Kenny Rogers Roaster. They’ll be eating Canes in bed at night.

Talisheek Creek

Anyone remember going there in the 90s? I vaguely remember early high school going there and jumping off a huge wooden platform on a sandbar in the woods using a rope swing and into more like a lagoon. Is it still there? Anyone know the backstory on it?

Wannabe Mandeville
Were they still doing construction on the 10-12 split?
Last time I went through that way was on a trip back from the CWS late 2000s. My brother and I stopped at this really cool zoo for exotic animals southeast of OKC. The operator was a bit strange but a lot of cool tigers and such.
Wikipedia says we won the title that year. OVER!
I will drive anywhere to get a Fast Track burger. For those of us not familiar, can you be more specific about the actual location of the gas station on Highway 22 near the Sunshine Bridge? Thank you.

re: Nicotine pouches

Was in line behind some early to mid 20s girls for the lsu game on saturday and they all had visible nicotine patches on the backs of their upper forearms. I just did not get it. I smoked from late teens to age 30 and quit when I got married. I enjoy a good cigar every once in a while. I would probably rather see a young person smoke an old fashioned cigarette than vape. Were these girls trying to quit smoking or they needed the patches because they could not vape in the game? The patches were just not a good look in my opinion.
Besides great tickets to post season games that they can most likely afford anyway, why would a successful business person want to serve on the BOS? Seems likes it’s more of a liability when things turn sour (like right now) and the rewards are minimal.
We all know why a Collis Temple would want to be on it-I don’t need that explained to me. I’m talking about the successful business person from another part of the state outside the capital region.
The whole body positivity thing not catching on is most likely Trump’s fault according to her….
I listened and agree it’s really good. Its supposed connection to True Detective Season 1 is what hooked me. But it seems to never end or get anywhere?
1) we lost to Arkansas in 2002 in Little Rock. I was there. It sucked. Was also 15 degrees.

2) all this talk about Jack in the Box-I was never a fan. It had nothing on my favorite fast food place in BR——FAST TRACK! I used to go to the one at Government and S. Foster I think. Delicious burgers!

3) there was a sandwich place on Nicholson going towards downtown. You could eat three meals off of one of the shrimp poboys. Can’t remember the name???

About to tackle Les Miserables

Posted by Gerry Laval on 11/10/25 at 10:12 pm
Is it worth it? In the last few years, I’ve read “long books” Atlas Shrugged and The Stand. Both were very much worth it. I’m just a 10-15 page a night reader so a long book is a big commitment. Multiple people have told me Les Miserables is worth it. I’m fearing boredom. Any comments?
Is it waiting to be heard in the LASC or did it go to court already? If so, how did it end? Thank you.
Green Beans. Still do not eat them. It must be a texture thing because I lover asparagus.
