I always do my own oil change and brake pads. To many scummy mechanics out there and 8 like knowing the exact part being used. As I'm not going to sit there and breath over a mechanic to make sure they using the right part. Plus it's too easy. But I'm mechanically inclined so I know what I'm doing and trust my quality of work. Now more sophisticated with I gracefully now down to the mechanics. But it is hard to find one you can really trust.
