re: Tulane trolling LSU

Posted by tolumnia on 11/19/24 at 9:10 pm
The biggest mistake that Tulane ever made was leaving the SEC. After they left there was even talk about dropping sports. I know why Georgia Tech left and many of Tech's fans didn't know that Tech had a big rivalry with Bama. Auburn also had a big rivalry with Tech. On the week of the game, Auburn would have a wreck Tech parade. The rivalry with Tech and LSU was beginning to take shape. Tech had big rivalries when it was in the SEC. Bama screwed them over and they left the SEC. When they tried to get back in, the Mississippi schools blocked them because Tech stated that they didn't want to play schools that were in the middle of nowhere.
I will give ya'll a brief recap of what happened to me and explain more about it tomorrow. I had good teeth for the majority of my life. One day I was eating some stuffed crabs and a small bridge that was located in the far back at the top of my mouth fell out. My dentist was out of town for a couple of weeks so I had to go elsewhere. I was going out of town in a few days so I needed to have that bridge put back in place. On my way home I pass by a place called Affordable Denture and Implants. I stopped there because I just needed to have a bridge put back in, no major dental work would be involved. The dentist told me to come back in the morning and she would put my bridge back in. I go in the next morning and the dentist sees me immediately.
Something was done to me by a certified dentist. The damage that was done to me will be with me for the rest of my life. I explained what happened to me to some attorneys and they said that they would take my case and about two weeks later they would notify me that they couldn't take my case. I will definitely dish out the name of the dentist and the place where she worked when she inflicted the damage to me. This incident happened two years ago and because I had contacted various attorneys, I could not go forward with a case against this quack. I plan to go forward with what that so called professional did to me.
The team is not that good this season, so why do you want to watch the team get crushed by a better opponent?

re: Tomatoes in da Gumbo

I once taught at a school in Jefferson Parish that had gumbo in the cafeteria several times a year. The gumbo that they served had a good flavor. the cafeteria also served jam. several times a year. The jam. was always red and it had a good flavor. I used to bring my lunch to school but if the cafeteria had jam. or gumbo I would just put my lunch in the refrigerator. I once made a big mistake when I tried one of their hamburgers. It was nothing but a soybean patty on a hamburger bun. When I was in school all of our dishes were cooked in the morning. Everything that I ate in school was usually prepared with real butter. I'm glad that I was out of school when the soybean lovers took over.
I was in the third grade when we had the missel crisis with the Soviet Union. I had no concept of what was really going on and I thought all the drills we had were fun. We had to bring blankets to school as well as toilet paper. You gave the required objects to your teacher and she would place the objects with your name on them in the cloak room. Twice a week we would have drills where you would stand in line and wait for a car driven by somebody's parent would pick you up. The cars would all go to Ryans airport and when we got there the cars would all turn around and bring us back to school. Being a young kid I thought the drills were fun. I had no idea that we were on the verge of a nuclear war because Russia was bringing nuclear weapons to Cuba. I'm glad that I was too young to fully understand what was really going on.
I was disappointed that Hardees didn't make it here. I lived in Montgomery and I used to go there all the time for a biscuit. Their biscuits were made from scratch in the store. TV Chanel 8 in Montgomery did a five minute video on how Hardees made their biscuits from scratch.
When I lived in Montgomery for eleven years a friend of mine introduced me to a former Bama football player. Later that evening the topic turned to college football. The Bama guy was talking about the stupid traditions that exists in the SEC. He said that Tennessee played Rocky Top during the entire game and you eventually get tired of listening to the song. He said the eagle flying over Auburn's stadium before the game was really a neat tradition. He said that UGA just stood on the sideline during the entire game. He then talked about LSU and having the tiger in a cage near where the team ran out. He said that he felt sorry for the tiger because some players would throw water at him while he was parked next to the team. He said that his teammates would constantly punch his cage trying to get the tiger's attention. He said that Bear really got pissed when he saw that his players were tormenting the tiger. As a punishment for tormenting the tiger Bear extended their practice time by one hour and a half that was in effect the entire week. He definitely remembers the cheerleaders riding on top of the cage when the tiger was paraded around the stadium.
When I was living in Montgomery police will not do a thing to the illegals. An illegal was driving drunk and crashed into the back of a brand new truck. The illegal jumped out of the car and ran to a house of an illegal family who took him in. Cop comes and tells the owner of the truck he can't do anything to the illegal because he didn't see the illegal behind the wheel of the car. Truck owner was pissed and he went to an attorney the next day. He is going to sue the Montgomery police department and the city of Montgomery for not following the rules of the city. He has a court date in a couple of months and I'll probably be summoned because I saw the accident. A friend of mine in Montgomery went to court to fight a traffic ticket that she received. Every case that involved an Hispanic, the Hispanic was never there. I thought that they will never find the Hispanics because nothing is on file like blood type and all other factors since they snuck into this country. The illegal probably changed his name and had another fake driver's license made. They sneak in, commit a major crime and sneak out again never to be found.
I have a Satsuma tree and a Meyer Lemon tree too. I know nothing about outdoor gardening. I went to a Home Depot in Baton Rouge and they had the fruit trees real cheap. The trees were real cheap and they were very small. I planted both of them in my back yard and I didn't expect them to live. Well, they didn't die and about five years ago I saw the white flowers and I knew that the flowers meant that I would get fruit. The fruit the trees bore were excellent. The lemons were huge and the satsumas were real sweet. The fruit during the last two years were awful. I never took into account that the two fruit trees could pollinate each other. Both trees bear the same kind of fruit and the fruit is awful. The fruit is real sour so I just leave that fruit on the tree because it will eventually fall off. The fruit looks nothing like a satsuma or lemon. I'll just leave the trees alone because they provide shade and birds love to nest in them. I know nothing about gardening outdoors and I'll just stick with my growing orchids. I have been growing orchids for over thirty years and even won a few ribbons. Contrary to public opinion, orchids are very easy to grow.
I really hated that song Disco Duck. And for mentioning it, that song is definitely playing in my mind along with the words to that song.

re: LSU bringing full band to Kyle Field

I really enjoy watching the A&M band. You cannot compare the two bands. TGBFTL is more an entertainment band. A&M is more of a military type band. A&M band is loud plus their marching skills are really amazing. I'm an LSU graduate and I firmly believe that there are things in college that are much better than what LSU has. LSU is not number 1 in everything like you kids think they are. Go to Bryant/Denny and come back and tell me how it is better than Tiger Stadium. Go to other SEC schools and tell me how much better the Assembly Center is. Go to Miss. State and come back and tell me how LSU's ball park is better than what State has. LSU is not better than what some SEC schools have. I hate to break the news to you but LSU is not number one in everything that deals with the college scene. Many things at LSU are really bad because we had an AD that went the cheap route.

re: Best frozen pizza

Posted by tolumnia on 10/19/24 at 10:11 pm
A friend of mine buys that Chef Boy Ar D pizza kit and goes to town with it. She puts pepperoni on it. Next she cooks Italian Sausage and puts it on the pizza. She then cooks ground beef and adds anise seeds. She puts two cups of cheese on the pizza and puts it in the oven for about fifteen minutes. Her pizza is one of the best that I have ever tasted. I'm not a fan of frozen pizza. A lot of times the crust on a frozen pizza is awful.
Yeah, I'm not overweight or anything like that. My health is pretty good and I haven't experienced any pain as a result of the cirrhosis. I currently feel like I did before the cirrhosis diagnoses. I am the sole cause for having cirrhosis. I currently live my life like I always did. It will be a cold day in hell before I start to feel sorry for myself. I knew that I was killing myself but I was too damn lazy to quit. I asked for it and now I got it. I've lived a full life and I have no regrets.
I quit drinking over four years ago. I was never a falling down drunk. I just drank to calm my nerves. I would usually drink vodka with orange or strawberry juice. I would drink about four drinks a night just before I went to bed. I just got tired of drinking four drinks a night so I just quit drinking anything that had alcohol in it. About two years ago I went to the doctor for my annual blood work, X rays and other tests. I haven't touched alcohol for four years, but I hit the jackpot. I was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. I haven't had any pain from it but the reason why I have it is because of the bad choices that I made in my life. My life is the same and I'm retired now and I get bored every so often. I just have a wait and see attitude because who knows what the Good Lord has for me.
When I went to LSU years ago, Ole Miss was our biggest game. We had a Go to hell Ole Miss week and the guys from different dorms would go on panty raids across campus to the girl's dorms. They would also set garbage cans on fire. Cops would show up and arrest the guys who participated in the raid. The offending male kids were put in paddy wagons until a punishment was determined. The year before this happened LSU wanted Ole Miss badly. The year before Ole Miss beat LSU in Jackson. LSU was undefeated until that game in Jackson. Archie Who was the QB for Ole Miss. He was given credit for that win in Jackson. That year Ole Miss played LSU in tiger stadium. Archie was wearing a cast on his arm. Ole Miss scored first in that game and I thought for sure that Ole Miss would win that game. LSU beat the crap out of Ole Miss and the rivalry was still intact.

The women of Mississippi are known for being very pretty. I think that at one time the women of Mississippi were considered to be beautiful women in the entire nation. I never met or saw an ugly female from Mississippi. I've met average looking women but I never met an ugly one. Mississippi is known for having a abundance of pretty women.

I know that I'm in the minority but when I lived in Montgomery I used to go to Crystal about once a month. I really liked their food and the fries were always hot. Their sliders with the onion on them were really good.
I found out years ago that the shrimp sold in the U.S. actually come from China. I understand that the restaurants are seeking to make a profit but shrimp from China, although very cheap, are raised in what we call sewage ponds. I never order seafood at a restaurant because of how the seafood that they sell is raised. Most restaurants seek to make a profit with the foreign seafood that they sell. It makes me mad that we have seafood sellers in this state that the locals don't use. Instead we are being served seafood that are raised in fecal matter ponds. There are a couple of Chinese restaurants in Denham and Walker that state if the seafood is imported. A couple of years ago I was reading a magazine that had an article about the Chinese seafood industry. The article showed pictures of what the shrimp looked like the minute after they were caught. Years ago I worked in Donaldsonville and we always used the White Castle ferry. One day the ferry stopped in the middle of the river and many got out of their cars to see why the ferry stopped. They were trying to hook a body of a drowned person. They recovered the body and when they got the body, over one hundred catfish were jumping off of the body. The drowned person was a tug boat worker that fell off of his boat two days earlier. I bet that his funeral was held immediately because the body was decomposing.

The ones bitching about the game have probably never saw a game in tiger stadium. I find that most of the people who bitch about the game are kids who are playing with a computer while mama and daddy are out shopping.
