He might be the only person who is loving every minute of all of this.
They deserved a big F you. I mean, what are they going to do?
Pretty sure he has a buyout if fired. Not to mention, that would be the stupidest firing of all time. But it would take the attention off of the BK fiasco.
The “ultimatum” came before the BR visit. I think Lane probably stays at UM, but sending the family to BR is a typical Kiffin response to being told what to do (by Ole Miss). In hindsight UM might actually be what pushed his decision to leave, if he does.

Lane has been consistent in saying he is focused on finishing this season. Supposedly Ole Miss tightened the screws on him and wanted a decision earlier. I think Kiffin said fine, and sent his family to Gainesville and Baton Rouge. Now he can always say, I wanted it to be a family decision. I think the reality is he was just buying time and can blame Ole Miss for accelerating things. I don’t think anybody knows what he is going to do. He may not know. I’d say it’s 33/33/34 between LSU, Florida and Ole Miss.
Hell, sounds like it’s what Ole Miss asked for. Good for Lane.
Some. Like maybe 1% of the UM internet trolls who never attended there. Any Ole Miss fans with a lick of sense would give a testicle for him to stay. Besides, what are they going to do, fire him? That would be the most Ole Miss thing ever. Probably would have to pay him severance.
It’d be more fun if he was our troll.
This is an NCAA problem, or an SEC problem. Not LSU’s fault; nor Kiffins. The portal should not open until a week or three after the NC, and member schools should not be poaching coaches during the season. They are just playing the rules as they are written. They should be updated, especially the portal window.
Yep. And blaming everybody else four years from now.
There’s more politics and money behind U-high starters than Kiffin can deal with.
Mortgage the state. That has worked well with our last three coaches.
Or you could say they do more with less. They have Bama, State and Arkansas closer geographically than LSU is to any SEC school, and in a state with half the population of Louisiana. Maybe we should step it up and build out for 140,000.
Kiffin did it to Tennessee and Florida A. And Bama. And if he does it to Ole Miss he surely won’t do it again, right?
This whole thing is shaping up to be the biggest Kiffin head fake ever. Master troll.
Quality of life likely makes the list. Murder rate certainly does.

And this was before the latest Sark news. Five SEC openings? Let the bidding begin. A fool and his money are soon parted.
