No team is hot start to finish. Or at least I can’t remember any. We’ll be fine.
Drew Bianco's senior day was kinda funny. Kinda cool too.
LSU is the second most “all in” school in baseball in the USA. Give credit to Ms State, a school half our size in a poor state half our size. That is the only school even in the conversation about “all in.” Is JJ up for contract renewal? Is this a negotiation? As a regular attendee, TAF member and coach’s committee supporter, I don’t like where this is going. The place was 80% full for Kent St and Milwaukee. JJ needs to consider all these players are coming because of the NIL he has gotten, not because they just love JJ.
It is SO easy to spend other people’s money.
SEC looking strong. Don't want to see USM in the Baton Rouge regional. We may see them in Omaha. Probably the best non-P5 team this year. Not sure why we don't play them in the non-conference season, would be good for RPI.

All good stuff. But you gotta have a Friday night guy. We may have a Friday night guy, but I don't think we have figured out who it is yet.
I don't get it. Happens every year and its not just this tournament. There are several tournaments this weekend and none of them are available on ESPN+. What is it about this one weekend? Sucks.

They can't be selling that many subscriptions to a one week tournament.
At this point, coaches are thinking ahead toward March. We might see some new names on the floor just to test out different combination before it really matters. SC has the regular season wrapped up (almost). Getting a seed one spot up or down doesn’t matter so much at this point to LSU or UM WB.
Mens and Womens tennis might be the best deal going right now. Both are very good and attendance is free! Would love to see a crowd. Its a lot of fun.
Has to be paid attendance. I was there. Chairback section was 75-80% full. Down the foul lines, 30-40%. Outfield, <30%.

But for a February Wednesday game on Ash Wednesday against Nichols, it was still a damn good crowd.
I recall hearing it pre-game walking in and at least once in the early innings during a pitching change. Didn't bother me a bit.

And nothing is going to hit the same on Feb 18 at 1:57 as it will on Friday night of an SEC game. Nothing.
Pretty much all baseball parks behave them. Not a dumb question, depending on how old you are.

Sometimes the other teams have better players. We'll see how she coaches in the playoffs. Don't count us out yet.
You saw how Notre Dame got left out of the playoffs for just that?
I made it to opening day yesterday. Perfect day for baseball. These recent threads on Alex Box crossed my mind. Looking around, yes we could stand an upgrade here and there. Extending the suites and roof down either or both foul lines would generate revenue AND provide much needed shade down the lines. The outfield bleachers are tiny compared to several SEC stadiums. So there’s that.
That’s all TV contracts. LSU WBB outdraws MBB by a long shot. I can see these revenue streams evening out next time TV contracts are renewed.
If you ever get to visit the left field lofts at Dudy Noble you might change your mind. Fenway by the way is old and nostalgic, but not all that nice.
Tennessee had trouble filling their baseball stadium before it was expanded. Dudy Noble is spectacular and packed every game. Two completely different classes of baseball experiences.

As for the Box, any upgrades will certainly be suites and clubs. Won’t benefit me at all. There’s no money in upgrading bleachers.

We got lucky on the weather report for this weekend. About 7 days ago it was in the low 30’s at dusk. That’s not baseball weather. Anybody who got ever jammed by an inside fastball on a February night can vouch for that.
TJ Ribs. Nice folks. Not a bad place. Just an impossible traffic jam between 3:30 and 6:00pm.
