First, I research the market, knowing exactly what the insurance is or should be .
Second, I find this insurance locally. I drive to the broker and tell them exactly what I’m willing to pay for this insurance.
Important- do not have an emotional connection to this insurance. Know exactly what you plan to pay for it and not a penny more.
If the broker balks- walk. Very important.
The broker will call you back. Be patient. Their first offer will not be what you asked for. Hang up the phone.
Wait.
When they call back with your original offer, accept.
