re: LSU National Champs 2025

The first game is always a strong indicator of the team for at least a good chunk of the season. IF we beat Clemson CONVINCINGLY, then yeah I am ready to get behind this mindset that LSU can be a NC contender next season. Things are shaping up well, but I am still concerned about our OC position and play calling there. As much as the defense needs to improve (and yes, defense wins championships), the offense has to light things up like 2019 level stuff.
I’ve signed up for Bayou Traditions. Let’s do this Tiger fans. There hasn’t been a time until now that fans can make an impact to recruiting and consistency of our Football (and other collegiate sports) program at LSU. Any amount will help.
We had no answer for a mobile QB. This got exposed in the Aggie game. We still couldn’t figure out a scheme for such QBs in the Bama and Gator games. By some miracle, we got something cooking for the OU game. My guess is lack of skilled players in our team for such QBs and creativity was needful. Whatever adjustments we made to our defense worked in the OU game.

Maybe he didn’t finish school? Or Negative U?

Let’s bring the LSU attacking defense back! We caught a glimpse of the incoming talent in the OU game!!

If Nuss elects to go pro, then heck yeah. This QB has what it takes to compete in the SEC. A bit of Tebow, a bit of JD5 and some more.
Screw that kid. Doesn’t deserve another damn thread on this board.

A big win over Vandy and OU….

Let’s say this happens. Let’s just play along. Would it help stop the flipping of our recruits? Or even better get some to get on board late into the recruiting cycle?
Multi-millionaires would suffice.

re: Kiper has nuss as #5 qb for draft

Nuss should go pro. Next year QB room will be more crowded. I’m not saying that he is NFL ready but has a decent shot at getting developed at the right franchise and get paid handsomely.
I wouldn’t go that far as forecasting his eliteness at Michigan. Nobody knows. Let’s just stop this cope and move on. Please.

Rubbish. Nuss is gone, the QB room is light for the upcoming draft. Not sure whether Swan has any eligibility next year but Hurley and Collin’s won’t transfer. Why would they?

I don’t think BK is a slacker. I just don’t think he is a fit here, given it’s the SEC and a coach has to deal with too many other parameters that ND type establishments don’t have to.
Yes. I believe Sloan helped with JD’s leap from 2022 to last year. Nuss is just a stubborn mule. It’s not always a cookie cutter folks. Also, he is a Co-OC (which he is no good at) as well as a QB coach presumably.

re: Should Nuss return next year?

The Qb stock this upcoming draft is weak as someone else mentioned. So, he can go higher for that reason. However, he needs a ton of work to turn into a functional QB. He doesn’t have the timing on the deep ball, he scrambles in the wrong direction to escape pressure, his pocket presence is not there.

Beating up fellow Tiger fans is not a fun thing to do, OP.
