We maximize 401k. I don't contribute to an IRA. Last year was the first year our Mortgage Interest dipped enough that we can't itemize anymore. I did a rough calculation on our Federal Income Tax for 2024 and it's going to be close to 72,000. State income tax will be around 18,000. Property tax...

And that is the issue. You need more picks like SFP said to mitigate risk. If you have 3 picks and 1 becomes a starter that is a fail. But if you have 7 or 8 picks and have the same hit rate you get 2 or 3 starters....

Football needs to break away from the NCAA. Players create a union. Schools sign players to 1,2,3, or 4 year contracts. Players are free to leave or or renegotiate after they fulfill their contract.
